Just spent 45 minutes trying to call them before giving up. Will stick to proper banks in future rather than banking with a struggling supermarket.

That's good of you, many thanks, one less to worry about for the 3% and the DDs :D

No you have two of, and 6K
  • Have generally been satisfied with Tesco so far (I already have a 3% current account and credit card with them) and this week I applied within my existing log-in for two Internet Saver accounts (For DD Halifax Reward use) - I wrongly assumed these would appear pretty much instantly within OB alongside my existing accounts like other normal banks do (eg TSB) with no paperwork to worry about, so after a few days of no online access to the new accounts I registered them seperately - I can now see and manage the accounts but now have 3 log-ins, rang them up today to tidy things up and have all four accounts together thinking it would be all done and dusted within a few minutes but no I have to ring them again in a weeks time after I have received my 'welcome packs' and after I send them back my signatures for the two new accounts - what a palava.

No gain without pain. Your alternative is to set up DDs in other places, most of which won't offer to have you as the payee.

Having said this, my experience with setting up Tesco accounts has been far less painful than yours sounds - I applied for my Tesco savings accounts online and they instantly appeared online.

And thats what I expected to happen with mine. The girl on the phone was nice and polite enough but I felt the 'ring back when you've sent back your signatures' was a bit of a fob off and a weak one at that.
