The feeling of being in control is the greatest relif.
I am also going to look at an allotment it is going to cost me around 40 pounds but means I should be able to grow a decent amount of our own beg and some fruit year round0 -
If you are looking into an allotment, sometimes shared spots are available, you only get half the space but you only pay half the price! Also sometimes they allow their growers to sell any excess produce (there is one near my grandparents that has a small market every Saturday morning, people just sell what they have grown and don't want for themselves), it would only be a small, seasonal income, but it could pay for your non-fresh stuff from aldi
