TBH grace never saw me smoke as i would only smoke outside ect but i feel really good about myself at the moment so I trying to keep the ball rolling

That's a plus, but smoke gets everywhere, no matter how careful you are - you'd be amazed how much gets into kids' lungs even when you stood outside. I could smell it when my old neighbours smoked outside, even though I was nowhere near them!

But seriously, well done - you will be SO much healthier for it, and your finances will also love you more!!

Lawa, that sounds great on your food front! With your freezer its not necessarily about how long you can live on it, its about knowing what you've got and maybe planning meals around that for a while to cut costs in the short term, then as you eat things you can either replace them, or save the room in your freezer for freezing leftovers :)

I found a nifty trick is to reduce the meat content of dishes and replace it with veggies that take on the flavour of whatever you are cooking. So for spag bol I'll use around 60% of the mince I used to use and chuck more courgette in. The courgette has a fairly meaty texture and takes on flavour of the sauce. Now a packet of mince does three lots of spag bol (for two of us, so 6 meals out of one 500g pack of mince!) - veggies are a great way of bulking out meals with good stuff so you still feel full but take in even more goodness when you eat! And if you're growing your own that should make it even more cost effective!

A good one if you've got loads of veggies past their best but still edible is veg soup, chuck all veg in with some stock, boil a few spuds to thicken and then blitz to your preferred consistency. can be frozen if not needed straight away!

    OK Meal Plan Done.

Quick trip to aldi at lunch time £15.10.
Stocked up on veg as I have enough meat in the freezer for 7 days meals for all of us.

Bought some extra flour ( I make my own bread).

Bought a bottle of wine 3.10 this will last me untill Sunday :D My treat for getting things sorted. I still have 5.00 left untill Friday :D

As to the properties we only own 1 property a 1 bedroom flat but are in negative equity on this sol we rent it on intrest only initally as we have only been doing this since Sept to se how we get on. So we rent a 3 bedroom house (fantastic deal no need to dowsize as would not be any cheaper).

I don't want to be rude here, but why would he not help out? From what I have read, it sounds as if you share a home, a rental property, a life and possibly even a child.

Surely as a partnership, he should want to help and take stress away from you, not leave you to deal with it alone. Has he really had no benefit from these loans etc?
