Snoring

Using a humidifier seems to stop my husband snoring so badly.0

tbh, even if my OH stopped snoring, I'd still want to sleep in the room next door lol

Decent quality earplugs are a life saver. I've gone through a fair few and so far have found the 3m yellow foam ones from tesco are the best in terms of noise blocking. And they seem to stay put better than others I have tried.Emergency savings: 4600

Earplugs + a white noise machine. For when we're on hols I use an app called 'White Noise Lite'. It's a freebie one but helps to cover any lighter snoring.0

my mum's snoring is the loudest i have EVER heard, and dad is a very very light sleeper (you cant fart without him waking :rotfl:).
They have slept in separate rooms for nearly 20 years now (married for nearly 30 years i think). They are still very much together, and happily married. I am not sure why sleeping in separate rooms is such a taboo.

My OH has recently been to the doctors and was prescribed a nasal spray. It does seem to be helping, we were at the point of sleeping in separate rooms so it's nice to have my bed buddy back

I hope the OP sees that this thread is active again and updates us, if he stuck with his weight loss plan, 9 months should see results hopefully!0

My DH is a fearful snorer. Separate rooms is not an option, as we have no spare bedroom! Luckily for me (!) I am rapidly going deaf, so it's becoming less of an issue through that.:D
However - he's better if he a) avoids alcohol in the evenings and b) sleeps on his side.
If he starts up, I can gently push him and say to him "Turn on your side" and he will do so without waking up!
What does make things worse though is that he has "REM behaviour disorder" whereby the paralysis that usually accompanies dreaming sleep doesn't happen, and he acts out whatever he's dreaming about - I have the bruises to prove it!:eek:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
