Nobody is required to justify their comments to you or anyone else for that matter, people are entitled to express an opinion without having to say why they gave that opinion.

It was just a members opinion.

But why should people listen to them if they have nothing to back it up with? :undecided

Well my opinion is that they should have to say why they expressed that opinion here, and according to your opinion i'm perfectly entitled to have that opinion and to express it here. :rolleyes2

Sorry lellie, according to Inactive, you dont have to justify your opinion here, can you please re-edit your post to read

    'My new panda is amazing'

Seriously though - its good to have people with ACTUAL RECENT EXPERIENCE of the manufacturer on this post - something that seems to be lacking when people chose to criticise fiat.

I have recently been driving a Grande Punto Sporting and I LOVE IT :D It has an amazing voice activated bluetooth/USB/phone system - BLue&Me, the comfiest leather seats I have ever sat in (in a family car anyway) and is a real nice car to drive. Some of the interior bits are not up to ford/VW standards but its a budget brand so I forgive them. I get to drive a lot of cars and this one has charcter, looks amazing, has great features & a great drive. If I needed a car I would seriously consider one, they are a bargain. My mum has a new Panda 100 something or other for a little run around and she prefers that to the Jag she sometime drives :rotfl: Anyways I have gone completely off topic but my point is fiat have really improved over the last few years and that is a fact. If they didn't do you think they would still be here? The new models - Panda/Grande Punto/Bravo/500 are all brillant cars although I agree some of the older models are not up to much as pointed out in the reviews above. For example the 500 is the only super mini to achieve a 5* Euro NCAP rating and those who have been lucky enough to test drive one say overall its better than the mini (Yes built by BMW which some posters I am sure will think build the most reliable cars ever because they cost twice as much - get real :p )

Thanks to the OP for the £1,000 off a new Fiat offer. Sadly, if the coupon entitled me to a new Fiat for £1,000 I would still give the offer a wide berth. Fiats are sheite. FACT. I have never been daft enough to own one........I don't think I've ever driven one. I can't even justify my opinion (sorry Morph3us), but this site is about giving sound financial advice to fellow users. My advice is to stay clear.

Another thing the Fiat-bashers completely fail to understand is the ratio of reliability to cost.

To give a simplified example, let's say for the sake of argument a Fiat costs £7k versus £14k for a similar sized BMW. The Fiat's overall reliability is 91% and the BMW's is 95%.

But for the price of the BMW you could get two Fiats, use one and keep the other in the garage as a spare. That way you achieve virtually 100% reliability whereas spending that money on a BMW would only give 95% reliability.

Hence, in real terms Fiats are more reliable than BMWs on a £ for £ basis.
