Sorry Manxred and bod1467, wrote that before I had read your posts.

I have retracted and amended my response accordingly.

OK, no hard feelings. I'm happy to carry on.

As I say, ask if you have any questions.

    Thanks.

I their response to their original letter, G24 star that they have taken legal advice (don't believe that for a second) and that their charges are justified as they are "liquidated damages". After researching this it appears that since the parking was free, and is just an overstay, then it does in fact amount to a penalty rather than compensation, and therefore can not be liquidated damages

Also, G24 does not have sufficient landholder rights to pursue charges in their own name as they explicitly state that they only have a contract for parking management on that property.

Unfortunately I am 600 miles away from the car park and cannot check the signage.

I think the legal points are valid though.

Eh? What? Don't you WANT any help?

    I'm out.

You should still apologise (properly) to Redx ... there was nothing wrong with that post.

I don't think so, the tone is patronising and designed to humiliate, there's just no need for it.

I appreciate your advice, and thank you for it.

nothing wrong with my replies, nor anybody elses either, one of the links in the newbies thread leads to over a dozen examples of popla appeals and has done so for more than 18 months, plus another weblink links to a recent thread discussing the merits (or not) of actually making an IAS appeal

I stand by my statement that there are NO templates here for an IAS appeal , although there are plenty of threads that discuss them

here are some links I found when I actually did what I said, use the search button of this forum

you may get help, but you wont get blood out of the IAS stone , so truth be told I would go into the IGNORE mode as far as G24 and the IAS are concerned, but there is a lively debate about it you can join on here in one of the threads (To IAS or not to IAS , that is the question)

    that is all b*llo*x

you were too lazy to follow the advice and ignored the fact that no templates exist

you dont deserve the help because you do not listen to what you are being told

    Thanks for all the links.

And thanks for proving my point about being patronising and trying to humiliate.

you dug your own grave by dismissing the newbies thread out of hand, didnt use the forum search, and argued that people like myself and bazster were not telling you what you wanted to hear

all I did was point out your inability to actually do what was asked of you, same as anyone else is asked to do

like using this part and clicking on the words in blue
    Click on these words:

How to win at POPLA and you will see clear adaptable examples of winning POPLA appeals, some specific to the main PPCs and others specific to Airports, Railway car parks, retail, etc.
when you are told there are no templates for the IAS, what we actually mean is "there are no IAS templates" - enough people have told you this yet you are still in denial same as you were at the beginning of this thread and I doubt anyone else has a problem with my replies or any of the other replies, only you because you feel hurt at the way G24 are treating you and the IAS are useless at getting you justice, well welcome to the real world that we all have to deal with and some of the regulars here have been dealing with for years

I get more thanks hits than the number of posts I make, so one rotten apple in a full barrel is bound to happen at some stage - ie:- for every one person like you there are ten that accept the info being offered for free, even if it doesnt actually help them , other than to understand their predicament - they are grateful when they feel they have been told the best advice possible

had you followed my advice , you would have found those links for yourself , but you dismissed posts #2 and #3 and demanded to be spoonfed like a spoiled child

Thanks for finally posting what I originally asked for.

Of course I wasn't being told what I wanted to hear, that's why I asked again. However, my gratitude is genuine, to you and all those that have helped me with this small matter.

I wrongly assumed that the clunky search function of the forum and the 20th Century GUI styling made the esoteric nature of the website self-evident.

As a veteran of the forums I am sure you are proficient in the use of all the functions, for the uninitiated though, it is a difficult task to extract the information required, which is why I asked for some help.

I accept that the amount of thanks you get for your posting validates your advice, I myself have pushed the button, thanked you in writing and would do so in person if we ever met. I am sure you would be much kinder in person.

I accept that you are a well meaning individual and infer an apology for your original brusque tone from the fact that you eventually (if slightly begrudgingly) provided the information I asked for.

I apologise for any offence caused, apart from the offence I intended.

I think you will agree this has been a good learning process for both of us, and am sure the whole experience will help us become better human beings.

    Thank You again.

Do you literally mean this? Are you based in Scotland? Serious questions!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
