Zig I am so sorry to hear this. I haven't been through this but have been through a break up last year and know how heartbreaking it is. Go to your mums and take some time out to think but I agree that I don't see how you can get past this and carry on with the relationship. Massive hugs xx0

Just to add i have a lovely friend who found out her husband was having an affair and she tried to make the marriage work. They carried on the relationship for a while but it wasn't right and when they split he went off to live with the other woman so it obviously had never really ended.0

Oh Zig, I was happy when I saw that you'd posted but now I'm so heartbroken for you!
What a terrible thing to find out. What a... well I can't type it as the filters would block it, but you can guess what I want to call him!!!
I don't think there's any coming back from that level of betrayal. I can kind of understand it if it was a one-night mistake and he's truly sorry, but a pre-meditated, ongoing thing... nope. Just all the nope.
It's awful that he's destroyed your life together with his selfish actions. But it is all his fault and don't blame yourself one bit.
I do know people who have carried on after an affair (always the husband doing the affair-ing...) but in the cases that I know, there was a child involved (young babies at the time and husband feeling 'left out' so went looking elsewhere for 'affection' !!!!!!) so I think a lot of it was giving it a go for the sake of their family...
Massive huge squishy hugs for you.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Hi zig, hope you are managing to move forward. I have been in a similar situation and I took him back for the sake of our child. However he did it again. I think that in your particular situation the worst thing is that it was in your bed. There were undoubtedly many opportunities for him to stop it before opening that bedroom door and stepping inside. For me there would be no going back.
I look back now (25+ years ago) and think I made a luck escape for myself and my DD. I met a wonderful man who still takes care of us both.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

I hope he feels bloody ashamed of himself a crawls into a hole to live out the rest of his days. Burn him, burn the bed and remember you're better than this situation. Can't believe Oscar is 12 weeks old. He is such a cutie (am getting to see him though FB messages). I must say I am missing the banter on here. I am still around and looking likely to be for the next while due to a lot of debt from moving house.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
