If little Fox isn't here already then I hope your stretch and sweep goes ok tomorrow Cinny, it sounds a bit !

Good effort on the furniture building Birdie! The drawers seemed to take aaages when we were building ours, and 'cause I was tired I kept putting things in the wrong places. OH told me to leave him to it in the end! :p

Money question - if you had £5k car finance would you pay that off before buying a house or use the extra money by not paying it all off towards house deposit/furniture? Would a mortgage supplier look unfavourably at us if we had £5k of car finance?

I'm suffering with this cough that's going around at the mo so everyone in the office hates me :o It's doing my head in so hoping it bogs off soon. Hope everyone else is well! :D

Still pregnant I'm afraid! Stretch and sweep wasn't too bad on me, but the only way I can describe his movements for an hour afterwards was that he was quite clearly p!ssed :o but if he keeps up these games he's in for round 2 on Tuesday!

Wish I could help with the mortgage question, Zig! If you're not in a rush to buy I'd pay it off first, but that's just more because it's one less payment going out each month more than anything technical.

Hope your knee is better, Birdie!

Hope you're okay cinny!!! Thinking of you!!

Zig I don't know with the car finance but they will definitely consider the monthly payments you're tied into when they say how much you can borrow. I guess I would want to pay it off first so it was simpler but I guess it depends if an extra 5k is significant to your house deposit or not?

Not sure about the car finance v mortgage Zig. I don't think it should affect your ability to get the mortgage as long as you can clearly afford all of the payments but it may have a bearing on what offers you get...? Dunno really! Maybe ask on the mortgage board or have a meeting with a broker to discuss your options?
Hope your knee is better, Birdie!
Annoyingly, after almost 2 weeks my knee is still black and sore when I kneel... what a wally I was! :p DH and I are a right pair at the minute as he's damaged the ligaments in his shoulder somehow and is still in a lot of pain (3 weeks and counting) despite drugs and physio so he just groans constantly as he tries to find a position that doesn't hurt and can't lift up Zach, I groan every time I have to get on the floor to play! :o

How are you and your girls feeling now Wendz? Better, I hope!
    :)

Hope everyone is doing well and ready to take on yet another Monday head-on! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Sorry everyone! Been absolutely knackered trying to get a grip on breastfeeding - but after a night of him screaming the house down we were at Asda for 7am to get some formula. Actually have two hands free now!

But everything went well! Waters broke at 9:10pmish on the 24th and he was out at 9:56pm. Little Oscar Winston, 8lb 8oz so not the super chunk I was hoping for but considering he moved so quickly that all I could have was gas and air - I'm really glad that's the case :o he also has masses of brown hair that even OH is convinced is getting more auburn by the day!

    Hope everyone's well :)

Congratulations! What a lovely name and quick labour too.

It is knackering and takes a lot of getting used to. Make sure you take all the help you can get.
