When the system crashed on the first day I downloaded two forms and posted them off with cheques.
I received the bonds on Friday 30 Jan.

I wonder if cheques will take over from internet banking - they are so much more convenient and faster. :)

I have sight of my bond on the website but still cant work out how to add the premium bonds I have had from 30 years ago

You can't I tried to add the index linked certs I hold, but on reading further on the site only investments after 2012 can be added for some reason.
    Another anomaly of their system!

You can't - but they can. As I said on another thread, they tied in my 3 Premium Bonds from 1957 to my new 65+ Bond account without my asking!
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Finally received all the Bond paperwork today from a January 16th online application. I applied for joint bonds as my husband didn't have an online account but they have allocated him a number as part of the application process.

Is it true that if you take the bond out after April 5th that no tax is taken off the interest from the bonds in future years

The new £1000 savings interest allowance is not yet official and could be cancelled by a new government, no matter what is promised pre-election.

Looks like we are save now!! (PS I forecast and bet £20 the conservatives would get an overall majority)

How much did you win for your stake?

I only made two bets this year. First I won on the grand national with £5 each way so with my winnings stuck £20 the conservative win at 7 - 1 😀
