Cheapest flight i can find from Manchester to Orlando in Aug this year flying Aer Lingus is £1023 per person. You can fly 11 July for £906 but thats before the schools break up. Thats via Dublin.

We did Manchester to Dublin then Dublin to Orlando last summer via Aer Lingus using Avios. Very very long day
We live about 45 minutes from Manchester Airport & the flight to Dublin was at 8 a.m. with the flight to Orlando at about 1.45p.m, so at Manchester for 5.30 a.m.
Took about an hour to clear US Immigration in Dublin & Dublin Airport is nothing to write home about - very few shops - certainly much smaller than Manchester
the baby will be 3 when they go ....
it really needs to be a direct flight if they want to avoid a major meltdown0 -

nooooooooo
hi nannytone
its not an issue, honestly. At 3 years old its all part of a massive adventure. Chill out, relax and enjoy the experience.
Another airport, (another country ?!!?!?!) another lounge, another plane, another set of seats etc, etc its all part of lifes rich tapestry.
take up the flight that suits you/your pocket best. if you do have to have a change, don't be put off by a stop in Dublin, Amsterdam, Franfurt, Heathrow, Chicago, New York -- in the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.
When my daughter was 15 months, we went Manchester-Chicago-Dallas-Las Vegas in a jorney that was 24 hours from gettingup to checking in to the hotel.0 -

The Dublin option usually saves me about £200 pp even allowing for the cheap flight to Dublin and hotel and we treat the day in Dublin as a part of the holiday.
Theoretically we could save more by driving home after the DUB LON leg but we don't bother.
OP is talking about three families travelling together £200 pp is a significant saving for a bit of "faff" for ten plus people.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
