Emails being watched

Can anyone help please, I work for a sales company and I think my emails are being watched by my boss!!
The only way I know this is because he says things to me that he wouldn't know unless he is tracking my emails
Does anyone know of a way to block them or stop anyone but me seeing them?
I don't know what the email client is but I access it at work through Microsoft Outlook 2010 and I can access them remotely through Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access. I need to enter a password before I log on but i think the people who set it up in the first place can make my emails appear on his Outlook.
Is this possible or am I being paranoid?

Are these your work emails or personal ones? What is your company policy on email use while at work and the monitoring of computer use?
  • These are work emails and I have no idea on policy, obviously I can't mention it as I can't be seen to suspect anything!!
  • Hello, this is very possible, 99.999% of companies will always have it in your contract that any communications sent from their own network are able to be viewed by the appropriate people (usually IT or higher management). Not an unusual thing.

The policy is pretty likely to be that anything you do online can be monitored. Why do you think your boss shouldn't know what you are saying in work emails? If you want to clarify the situation copy him on everything you send, then you'll be certain that he knows the content.

Don't worry it seems Daivd Cameron wants to see all emails in the future!!

If they are personal emails, don't send them from work.

If they are work emails, when there shouldn't be a problem, unless to are discussing your boss!!

If you don't want your boss to see it, don't send it from your work computer.

It is likely to be company policy so not in anyway sneaky.

Check up on your company policy, many say that all communications have the potential to be monitored.
  • I meant sneaky in dropping hints about various things that he couldn't possibly know without monitoring me!!

Maybe it is his friendly way of letting you know that he can, and does, monitor your emails?

Just in case you were thinking of sending you something inappropriate.
