    The bestest dog I ever knew had the big C on a foreleg.

    I buried him at a point on the walk where I/HE chose whether to go the 1 mile or the 3 mile path. I'll never forget when he finally worked out that he could choose how far & for how long we would walk at that time.

    Several dogs later, I still pause at that point.

    Go get another one & soon, I've always thought that to mourn is selfish and you have sooo much to give that it would do neither of you any good to wait.
