    Hi
    Just back and composed myself
    No temp etc
He said he can feel something in abdomen
He's had steroid injection and something else
Shouldn't really hav with his arthritis tabs but needs must
    He's lost weight again
Vet said while he's playing and enjoying walks, it's not time
I want to do the best for him it's so hard
He said if injections work he can have tablets for the foreseeable
I've left it that if he starts eating or I want to carry on I go back fri of I ring and they will come and let him go at home
So hard when he's running round playing with spaniel
He did the biggest pile of diahorria there and came home and threw up
That's what he thinks to vets lol

Dogs have an amazing capacity to endure discomfort/pain but nothing you have posted suggests he's suffering either. See bold above.

It seems you're only concern is his lack of eating & if that continues it does become a real problem.

Obviously none of us know your dog like you do but, to me, it seems like you are jumping the gun a little.... give him some time.

Believe me when I say you will know when it's right to put him to rest, IMO that's not now.
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!

Thank you, I've decided I'm going to feed him what ever he wants.
It's not going to hurt him now is it, so long as dosnt upset his tum more, really want rid of the diaorriah
So so far today he's had a cheese topped bap,a pork pie,a dentastick and some frozen veg and scrambled egg
Vet receptionist wanted me to buy some of their food, can't even remember what it was called,at great expense, I said no as he won't eat it
Is it right dogs shouldn't have milk?

I think it's because some are lactose intolerant, like humans, so might cause wind, stomach upsets and diarrhea.

Would he eat rice and boiled chicken (sorry I've skimmed read quickly!) as that would be easy on his tummy too. That's what I feed mine if they've had a bout of runny tum.

So he's enjoyed 2 walks today and eaten half a cheese bap and half of a co-op cooked chicken

Just been for a walk, while he's notbounding along, he is trotting along in front of me in The woods
Tum a bit better but he's not eating so it would be!
    Got another chicken in oven
He won't eat rice anymore, won't touch any tinned or dry dog food
    Not keep on eggs now
He's just had a pancake lol
He can't survive on just chicken can he
The injections I presume would have started working by now?
This is so hard I don't know what else to try him on , oh he ate a few slices of ham
Do I keep him until he dosnt want to walk or is that too far.i know it's my decision but I want what's best for my friend

hmc, I'm sure you'll know yourself when the time is right to say goodbye and make the right decision for him. He's so lucky to have such a caring owner :) I think if he continues to eat chicken, let him work away. Just make sure he's getting enough. Wee bits of cheese maybe for tasty snack? Although that could potentially upset his stomach again. Mine all love cheese and pancakes too lol!

One of mine is 13 now and I'm having to face facts that it will probably be sooner rather than later.
