He is a specific kitchen designer/builder/fitter - just a one man band with a small unit on an industrial estate. The amount of choice he offered was amazing though (far far greater than any of the big places) and he offered great advice about my ideas etc. My parents and a friend have since got kitchens through him too!
Thanks for this mentioned to dh today as he works in the construction industry and will keep an ear out for someone similar.LBM 2009 (first attempts started 2007) 2nd LBM 2021 3rd LBM 2025

Just about to do my weekly money moving dh was paid £23 above the minimum I've budgeted for so this will be put in a pot.
Debt 2 update has come in at £805. I knew I'd over estimated a little but so far feeling good and the results coming in. If only my mortgage could make the % reduction magically :rotfl:
Bad mse thing today we didn't have enough bread for lunches even though yesterday evening we had to stop at tesco to pick up some bread for mum. I even said how cheap kingsmill was (78p) but dh forgot we were low. I don't do lunches and have no ideaIts his memory problems so can't blame him but I did laugh. But I bought lunch at work choice was limited and even with staff discount it was £5.04  won't be doing that again in a hurry that's for sure.
Will go and update signature and do banking then catch up on some diary's I lurk inLBM 2009 (first attempts started 2007) 2nd LBM 2021 3rd LBM 2025

Hello 3WM
It sounds like you and all your Monks are doing really well. Glad to hear DH is back at work - that must be a weight off your mind.
I did have one thought on your situation. Do you think it would be worthwhile using the mortgage overpayments to fund F&F offers to your creditors? This will get rid of them sooner, save a bit of money and let you put more money to your mortgage in the future.
Just a thought.
Keep fighting the good fight.Everything will be alright in the end.If things aren't alright, then you haven't reached the end.0 -

Hello Patman and thank you for your post
Yes with dh I worry, if he doesn't answer his phone or reply to a text I get myself in such a state that something has happened to him so when he's poorly I go into full on panic modeThen when he's better I worry about how bad his wage with be because he's had a day off! I do try and keep this from dh he knows I worry about his health but no so much about him having a day off because I don't want him to feel that no matter what's wrong he's got to keep working if that makes sense.
I'll be honest I'd love to do f&f. If nothing else just not having to look at the direct debits as a constant reminder of the failure we made of things would be great. We've got another 3 years of payments  sometimes it makes me feel ill just thinking about it.
I tried 2 years ago but I think I went about it in the wrong way. I phoned and offered 30% of the total (this was on the biggest debt) but they said they would only give me a 10% reduction because we had paying well for so long
I'm wondering if its worth trying again especially on the big one if we got rid of that I would be :j I'm just not sure the best way to go about it.LBM 2009 (first attempts started 2007) 2nd LBM 2021 3rd LBM 2025
