In the immortal words "if you haven't got anything nice to say, etc, etc.

    Well said CWR.

Day 14, 40 points. Just 1 weekly point left but all foods tracked and I have stayed in my points allowance. I have been working today ready for London on Tuesday. I do not want to go mad whilst there so I need to be careful.

OK week 3 and the first week when I am out and about at conferences and meetings where it will be much harder to be sensible, also I am at two conference dinners..................My pledge is to still record everything, however bad, and to keep within my overall week allowance over the seven days. That means saving some points today (i know this isn't how it works but I think it will help me to eat less on the four days when I am at home).

We eat a lot of cauli rice, the easiest thing is to blitz it a few florets at a time in a blender then microwave it. Doesn't even need any water with it in a microwave and a lot easier on the knuckles than trying to grate it.

Day 15, 38 points. Good day yesterday I walked 5 miles in glorious winter sun in the Peaks, really life enhancing to be out in the sun in the winter.
Off to London this morning, three days in a hotel with conference food and dinners. It is a test!
  • Good luck for the conference food minefield!! If it's sandwiches, just pick the filling out and leave the bread and go for the fruit platter.

Wow, a five mile walk, up hills? That's impressive!! I wish I could walk that far, I'm in pain walking 500 yards at the moment - hoping things will improve with weightloss. I used to go to the gym at work twice a week, then they changed the availability for staff as they wanted to offer patients appointments outside normal working hours.

Hiya CWR, It is a very puffing and panty walk but it is so lovely to be in the winter sun.

Day 16, 49 points - not good but not terrible, I chose healthy options but three proper meals a day is a lot of points. Excellent day at the conference, really looking forward to tomorrow and to meeting good
friends for dinner. On Thursday I am off to find a Boots to get weighed.
  • Hope you enjoyed your dinner with your friends tootallulah!

Resisted chocolate mini rolls and doughnuts at work, which I pleased about. Went to WW group and have lost another 2lb, so yay, I'm in the next stone bracket (only by a pound) Half a stone a month would be great, but is probably somewhat ambitious unless I can find some way to up the exercise - perhaps I should buy a bike!

CWR that is brilliant, 14lbs in a month woo-hoo. Day 17, 51 points. I had a fantastic dinner with friends and managed within my overall allowances, didn't have any alcohol and did eat a wonderful meal. I should have a calmer and simpler day today as my conference finishes at lunchtime, I have an exhibition opening this evening followed by a late train home. Although I need to keep an eye on the snow if it is bad I might just call it a day and go home this afternoon.

It is hurling down with snow so I have made my way home. Better but not good day today, Day 18 - 41 points. I am posting early because I am going to have an early bath and watch TV in bed I am knackered!

I still haven't weighed myself but having looked at the reviews I am buying scales, more correctly I have bought scales so weekly weigh ins will become the norm once John Lewis delivers to my local Waitrose.
  • Good luck. I have lost a lot of weight but have a stone and a half to go and it's not shifting! I'll be watching this thread.
