you should be able to post a pic using photobucket or Tinypic, then use the wee postcard icon.

Please demonstrate then. Post a picture of your meter if you think that you can.

Don't know why sacsquacco has thanked you for posting rubbish.

Just basic good manners to a newbie, and I would like to know the outcome of this puzzler. Saying he s" posting rubbish" probably wont help in achieving this.

It really doesn't take much to confuse you does it!

One newbie who registered today telling another newbie who registered the previous day how to post images, when newbies are not able to post images is not helpful, do try and keep up!

The two white boxes one with switch have fuse holders, pull the fuses out and see if the meter stops.
If it does put the power back on with the fuses out and see what no longer works in the house.

Perhaps an energy monitor would help in this situation? As they connect to the grey cables outside, it might give you an idea if anything is bypassing the CU?

A closer look at that black box might be useful.

I'm beginning to think you might need a professional in to remove the main fuse and disconnect that box
small black box looks like the top of the DNO cut out

Black tails go back to the company fuse on the incoming supply cable and grey tails go to consumer unit(s) for distribution to ring mains, lighting circuits, etc.
