    Hi everyone,

I've been on this thread before and managed quite well to keep up with my budget. However along with a house move and other commitments I have been absent but would like to get back on track if I'm welcomed?

I would like to aim for £300please, which is for 2 adults and 2 littles for all food, toiletries and cleaning items. My month runs from 1st May to 31st May.

    Have a great evening, piglet27

Aprils GC, I came in under budget, so am hoping I can do the same for May, but we shall see. I have to do a menu plan for the next 7 days utilising what is in the freezers and cupboards and fridge. I don't want to do another grocery shop until next Friday and will make up a shopping list and then do a big shop then. I think I can manage with what we have in until then, as there is quite a lot. Thinking cap on

Ok, this is subject to change, but I think I have the next 7 day meal plan sorted:

    Fri: lentil soup
    Sat: quorn Bolognese/quorn chilli
Sun: nut roast or salmon fillet with veg and spuds of some sort
Mon: quorn tacos, salad and cheese
Tues: homemade pizza and homemade potato wedges
Wed: homemade falafel burgers in wraps
    Thurs: jacket spud, cheese salad

I have all of these ingredients in already, so shouldn't need to buy anything else until after this whole meal plan is munched.

Edited to add: menu rearranged slightly. lentil soup made for tomorrow's meal, bread made for the weekend, flapjack made for the weekend.

    Mornng all,
My may grocery challenge starts today. Reducing my budget slightly to £200. That s for two adults, two children and a cat! We haven't got loads in but I am trying to reduce everything down this month to bare minimum before we move house at the end of the month.
We have enough pasta and sauce until the end of the month. Enough coffee, chicken, washing powder, cat food, crisps. And cereal bars. Freezer is half empty though and cupboards are certainly not full. I think the key this month will be meal planning to use up staples. I have loads of bread flour so I WILL NOT be buying any bread and am trying to use up some of my baking supplies. The fruit for a tea loaf is soaking as we speak which will use up some more fruit, eggs, and nuts. It also means I have finished the mixed peel which has just gone ood! :T
Shopping Saturday so a meal plan will be written before then!
