Hello all!
I've declared for April, at £8.40 under budget - yeah!!:j
Although my budget is worked by the calendar month, I have no time to shop between now and the beginning of May. Budget for May will be £100 again, and a personal aim of over 20 nsds. Only managed 17 this month.
Meal plan for May is complete, and there are many stock meals - I need to use up some of the stuff I'm storing for the sms!!
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100

Going for £200 in May please as its a 4 week month.
Still in April until the month is out but so far under budget.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Few shops done that'll hopefully see me through the next two weeks (bar a couple of top up shops for milk, fresh fruit & veg), just over £150 spent so £200 left for the rest of the month, hmmmmm!0

The other day i did a stock take of the cupboards and filled 3 A5 pieces of paper with a list of the contents, so i obviously am not short of food.
I am on a mission to spend considerably less this month, as i want to use what i already have. Ideally i would like to completely clear the cupboards and then do 1 big shop next month.
And that list didnt even include whats in the fridge freezer, and i cant fit anymore food in the freezer.
I am not going to change my budget though, as feeling restricted makes me panic that i dont have enough money. I really think this stems from the years when i really DIDN'T have enough money to feed us all, so i would without meals so that my children would eat
I need to remind myself that i am no longer in that position, and stop spending so much on making sure the cupboards are always full.0 -
just totted up total spends so far from the May budget:
£51 ocado - lots of offers, and a top up of laundry supplies (also on offer)
£35 ASDA - stuff ocado don't sell!
£7 home bargains - toothpaste x2, toothbrush holder (all for bf), nutella, few cleaning supplies.
£93 spent so far! leaving £37 for fresh fruit/veg when needed and bread/milk
Bf is such a bad influence. I have totted up the money spent of food/food based treats (ice creams etc) when out in the past week and he's spent £23! that has to stop! luckily not included in the GC but still ************************************
