Budget took a bigger hit yesterday
Breakfast was long-standing stock microwave porridge
Lunch was butty and crisps (all items already accounted for)
Tea was bolognese with garlic bread - the sauce was made and accounted for last month and the garlic bread bought on Friday (so already accounted for), but I had to open a new packet of (long-term stock) spaghetti
I also nipped to the shops for some mini gingerbread men (on offer at the moment, and I had 20p cashback offer x 2 that expired today) which have a long enough date to take away as packed lunch treats when OH and I borrow his niece/2 of my GDs for a weeks holiday. Also picked up some Pain aux Raisin for supper - one or the other of us picks up something every couple of months/for special events, and I decided I fancied these last night as there were/are no plans to have any hot cross buns.
Left spreadsheet showing as having 'spent' £11.00 (out of £32.65 allowed for 4 days)
Today is another missed breakfast day.
About to make myself an earlyish lunch (long-term cup a soup to be charged to budget, and butty with crisps that's already all accounted for)
Evening meal will be fish in butter sauce with rice, peas and sweetcorn - the only thing to be added to 'spends' is the long-term stock rice.
So that takes 'spends' up to £11.40 out of an allowed £40.81, with £6.80 from shops and £4.60 from long-term stocks
Clawback and stock use up is going well so farCheryl0 -
After a bit of research I've decided to try muscle foods, thank you for the recommendations. I've bought a groupon, means enough meat to fill the freezer up and should last at least the month! £51 spent including the postage charge. Means I won't have to do a big shop each week now so hopefully will help keep spending down (shorter list means less time spent in supermarket)! Also ran out of ketchup (going to stock up on basic sm one next week) through gritted teeth paid £1.65 for a large bottle. All part of getting organised I guess!GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

So this is my 4th nsd this month, and I only spent £2 on the day I did spend! Bonus!
Simple breakfast from home today, and then bf cooked me a lush lasagne and hm cheesecake at lunchtime, so I probably won't eat anything else now, or if I do, it'll be something tiny.
Tomorrow, will have breakfast at home, and then lunch and dinner at my mum's house, so another cheap day food wise. It'll be weird feeding myself again on Tuesday!
Will do a shop on Tuesday for the rest of the week - not a very long list so far. Let's hope it stays that way!!

Hiya everyone :easter_ba:
Thanks for the kind words re my poorly foot - still very swollen but stopped throbbing. Oh well - could be worse.
Managed an NSD today.
We had a lovely roast chicken (A*di yesterday) with all the trimmings today and just about enough left over for chicken salad if I stretch it with some eggs etc. and enough roasties left for DH to have refried with it.
Hope you all having a super Easter

Hi
I would like to join as I have a lot of expenditure coming up.
this is the first time that I am joining and so I am going to go for a target of £200.
I have a freezer, fridge and cupboards full and so that will help me run them down and I don't need any toiletries or cleaning products.
My rules to myself are to go and discover Ald! (not one near me) - but need to make room in cupboards first.
Also to try and buy as much fruit and veg poss from local greengrocer (parking impossible but the weather has improved and if I walk and carry kilos of veg it will help me lose weight too).
I'm at £34.14/£200 at the mo.GC £34.14/£2000 -
Sunday and Monday are both NSD.
Yesterdays roast lamb was lovely and have just cut all the meat from the bone and portioned it up. Managed to get -
2 x 2 portions diced for curry or pie (4 meals)
2 x 3 portions sliced for roast dinner (6 meals)
Plus yesterday we had 3 roast dinners and mum took one home for today (4 meals) so that’s 14 meals in total and the lamb cost £8.42 which equals to £0.60. per portion
Have also just chopped a bag of leeks up and frozen them, just left a few out to add to some mash tonight. In the last few days I have noticed that we have had to throw one or two little bits away such as some left over onions sauce, one small portion of soup and a few mushrooms simply because I forgot to freeze them. Don’t usually waste stuff so making sure it doesn’t happen again this week.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
