Please can I be put down for £120 please. My hours have reduced at work so I will now do my shop on Thursdays instead of saturdays, 4 Thursdays in March @ £30 each. I must not go over this month as a couple of 5 Thursday months coming up so need to be prepared, I was £9.65 over for Feb, which is disappointing! With more time on my hands I hopefully will be able to put more thought into our meals on my days off which I hope will help our budget!MFW

Hi all!!
Ready to join the March challenge. I'm gonna up this months budget to £500, so thats an extra £150. Mainly because we are going away for a caravan break towards the end of the month so want to make plenty of treats with us. Gonna start getting a couple of bits each shop and pack it away for holidays! And once we get back from our holiday our good friends are coming to visit. We don't see each other very often so I want to stock up on alcohol! Budget may seem excessive, but after all the cut backs over the last 6 months it will be nice to have a few extra treats!
Also i'll be keeping my eye out for easter egg offers (15 nieces and nephews, plus 3 kids of my own). As a rule we only buy the £1 eggs but if I see a 4 for £3 offer I'll be grabbing it with both hands! These will also come out of this budget.
Already done my 1st online shop. Its getting delivered tomorrow night (11pm, cheap delivery). Will update total once I have confirmed amount. It is in the region of £75. Should have been £93 but had a £13 off spend and some extra coupons which have all been put to good use. Stocked up on cleaning products and toiletries all of which were running low.
Lets hope we all have a good month!
Time to start meal planning for the week ahead!

Thanks xspender for those ideas. So far I think I am on the right track with the protein. Breakfast I usually have some 0% Greek yogurt and berries and a glass of s.s. milk or porridge with fruit in - I am not a big fan of breakfast but can just about manage the above or sometimes some porridge with fruit in.
I had thought about the protein powder but was going to wait until I speak to the GP again in a fortnights time. Will certainly ask about it and if they think I need it I will get some. I have already noted the high price but will look on it as medicinal. Does it actually taste of anything?MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Hello everyone
I would like to join in this month that is March, but I do my shopping over 4 weeks, so I will put down £20 a week starting Sunday. I have a fair amount in the cupboards etc so hoping to stick to this amount.

The protein powder usually comes in chocolate, strawberry or vanilla. There are other flavours like banana and caramel depending on the brand you buy. I like the vanilla best as I add it to porridge and smoothies and it adds a little flavour and sweetness without been overpowering.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

I feel like a lot of veggie meals are either tomato based or quite processed. I dont want meat replacement products, but am sick of making things with a tomato base.

Good evening everyone,
Tonight I have manged to blow a HUGE part of my budget ... £150 has gone on two online shops for delivery tomorrow night.
The plan being these shops cover all our store cupboard items for the month, 2 weeks worth of meat and 1 week of fresh fruit/veg. We seem to get through a lot of fresh fruit but unless we are making smoothies frozen doesn't taste the same.
The remaining £100 should be then be for the remaining three weeks.
We shall see!!
Shopping done, meal plans done now to get some much needed beauty sleep!Grocery Challenge March: £253/£250:eek:still so much of the month left!!!!!!!
Grocery Challenge April: £199.96/£2000
