Oh bless, its probably worth going slightly over for such a lovely jesture, but totally get where your coming from. Maybe he could give you the £10 as a mothersday gift. I do stuff like that. I'm on a Fiscal Fast - no spending for 7 days, 4got about mothers day, so my daughter is treating me to a card for my mum and Im putting an M&S voucher in I was given (bit naughty). Good luck.
Im hoping to last until Wednesday not spending (!!!), I'm leaving my money at home. Dinner is sunday roast at my parents with the family.0 -
Hi everyone,
Budgets updated to here
Going okay so far here - have approx. £160 left in the budget until 24th. I've resorted to online shops as I'm not getting the time to go in person. Probably for the best though, looking at the budget! Next online shop coming on Tuesday evening - approx. £85.
Happy Mothering Sunday to all those who mother. I have done two hours of ironing today, two washloads, paid a load of bills, and sorted lunch and tea. Don't knock the pancakes haras_nosirrah lol!!

Well, all my good intentions have gone out of the window this week!
I had planned only to spend only what was strictly necessary, a bit of veg from the local C@@p. Instead, I popped into M@rrisons on Friday and spent £35.50. I went in to see if there were any YS, and spent one fifth of my monthly budget. I'm disappointed in myself, because I boughtloads of unnecessaries!
anyway, my hope of making it to 26th is almost zero. I have less than a tenner left! What a nightmare!
The truth is that if I had any self-discipline i could actually manage on that until payday (the freezer and kitchen cupboards are full), but my self-control is a work in progress! I really need to tackle this though, because I really can't afford to have a food bill which is completely out of control.2025 goals

Been nowhere and done nothing since ds had his operation last Wednesday. I do have a smallish list of things we need and was contemplating an online shop but it appears Asda is no longer stocking the wood pellet cat litter that I've used for the last 5 1/2 years, sigh. I don't really want to use Strangeburys as it is more expensive (same volume cat litter is £4 there as opposed to £2.78 which is what I have been paying). It may be better to make a quick dash to MrA and see if I can lay my hands on the problem substance. We will need milk probably tomorrow but I can nip out to the co-op for that which only takes 10 minutes and the boy is well enough to be left for that long. Hmmm, decisions.0
