Good afternoon everyone, just popped in to say hello and update my spends.

I bought 2 x 89p milk in icel@nd so £1.78, and then popped into sainsbugs and got 2 ys bread for 35p each and 2 packs of ys choux buns @ 60p each. (they will be today's pudding). so not too bad. I have updated my signature, just have to stay strong for the week, as I hate to miss a bargain:rotfl:

I totally understand what you mean, and i think i am an addictive food shopper too. Its slowly getting better, but i still have to battle the urge to go food shopping almost every night

Count me in as an addictive food shopper, I even have a book on how to shop just once a year, plus endless lists. I too have a freezer full of things (sorry not one but four freezers). My daughter says i should be able to go at least a year without stocking the freezers again - sad. I just wonder if it's something in the genes as my mother used to have a huge stockpile of tins, soups, tinned meat (I'm going back to the 50/60's).

I try all sorts of strategies, ie: shopping on line, making meal plans, trying to shop for just the items I run out of, shopping at small independent shops. I try, yes I do try.
It's a slow hard path to follow. if someone started 'Shoppers Anonymous' I'd qualify so I know exactly what you mean when you say 'you're an addictive food shopper'

I can relate to the posts above about being a spending addict. I can't resist a food bargain! I've been trying to buy all my meat and fish when they are YS, and have discovered that the best time for that at my local Tosco is Sunday teatime.

I got some nice fish today, a whole seabass for 75p and four BIG cod fillets for 3.05, down from 12.20. The only problem is that I really don't need them! My freezer load needs to be run down, and the freezer needs to be defrosted.

I've decided to stay away from the big supermarkets for the rest of the month, and just zget the odd bit of veg and fruit from the local co@p. Hopefully that will encourage me to eat a lot of the fish in the freezer and save me some dosh!

Anyway, this week's shopping came in at £20.90, so I'm still on track to meet my target for this month. I think i will put it down a bit next month, as i think i can be a bit more disciplined than i have been this month.

    Good luck next week everyone!!!

Pleased with myself as didn't spend any of the grocery money over the weekend so have now had 7 NSDs this month (including today!). However we did spend from our "Eating Out" budget - a belated birthday meal for DD2 and an early birthday meal for her partner (birthday end of this month). Was really pleased as spent less than £70 including drinks between 4 of us - really love an all you can eat buffet!

Just doing my shopping list for tomorrow which so far isn't looking too bad, having done a big shop last Tuesday for meat, fish & tinned stuff so now only need fresh stuff plus if there is anything I forgot last week (only thing I can think of so far is washing liquid!)

Having a bit of a blah month at the moment which equals me not doing so well with shopping. More bread eaten than normal and chocolate ;) Completely lost track of NSDs. Hoping to get my head back in the game soon! Signature updated with latest spends.
