Shop delivered at the weekend - £46 so need to update signature. I was disappointed to be honest as hoped it would be nearer the £30 mark as I bought no alcohol and meat wise just a chicken!
Still, I'm trying to be positive and not just think stuff it and totally blow my budget.
On the upside I have made enough smoothies for th rest of the month, all portioned up and frozen. Lunch made for me and hubby - kids get lunch at school.
Meal plan for rest of the week:
Tue - left overs. Indian veg (Dahl, rice, veg curry)
Wed - thai chicken
Thur - chilli
Fri - salmon
Sat - slow cooker, tarragon chicken.
Sun - roast
Mon - tomato pasta

i started with great plans but work situation altered. more days and long days in meant more hours. buying food seems to be my downfall.
so basically guts of 60 gone in first week. will have to do better0 -
Just did a small shop for essentials like bread, milk and onions. Came to $47 - slightly more than I expected but I did manage to find some frozen prawns that weren't on the list. I made a delicious prawn and pea risotto the other night, which went down well with DH (:j) so I thought if I have prawns in the freezer I can make it any time as the rest is all storecupboard or the herb garden
We still have a lot of meat from last week as we were away for a funeral, so I'm hoping I'll be able to manage until Friday (in-laws coming so I'll do another shop then!)March 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU

Good morning, really late to the party this month!!! We have been away for a few days for a very welcome break, back into routine now and I have only spent £54 of my March budget up to now which as usual is £200. I have various money off coupons for this month so hoping to be able to come in under budget again for a change, good luck everyone for the rest of the month xSPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350
