    Morning all,

Today will hopefully be a low spend day other than picking up so ballet tights for DD1.

We have parents evening tonight for DD1 so it will be interesting to see how she is getting on.

Lunch and dinner from stores and bay of e bits finishing tonight- not hopeful for much as there isn't much interest.

Money is looking okay, it is a shame as the £80 I normally put to clubs is from child benefit money (£136) which arrives at the end of the month. However I had to pay ballet earlier which means the £136 is free so I am thinking if I consider the money I have left now £260 as usable money my overpayments can be the £136. It's a bit gutting as I would prefer to pay off the £136 now.

Out of the £285 I have left to spend:

    Food £100
    Guides £20
    DD2 party gift £10
    Mum 50th birthday present £70
    Netball club £6
    Ins £8
    DD1 phone £7.50
    DD1 ballet extra £10
    Pocket money etc £25

This leaves me with £28.50 plus any money made so it's tight! DD1 and I have a trip to exeter shopping on Sunday which will be £9 train, some lunch and a couple of bits so I really do need to make some money!

    Hi all,

Well a couple of unplanned and forgotten spends have devastatingly hit my account!

£50 cheque for DDs guitar lessons has been cashed ...I had forgotten about it!

£25 for a voucher for my bosses birthday....I will get back 17.50 from 2 colleagues though.

Then £21 on 3 pairs of convertible ballet tights for DD1 who needs them desperately for Saturday so I paid for next day delivery!

    £100 gone in a flash. :(:(:(

Means I will need to add bay of e money to my account to supplement it rather than towards the debt to get it under £2k.

Hubby paid the standard £30 to his card so we have £178 to find to get it under £2k. So with my £136 at the end of the month we will need to pay off £42 more to get there. Hubby may be able to do this anyway as other than my birthday and £100 of spending money he hasn't had anything else to pay for so we will see....

    Have a lovely day all...

Its a sunny day but I am going to paint the kitchen regardless! I just want it done and it is my birthday weekend next week so I want to get it done now.

We will go off and do a food shop now so then I can come back and paint without having to go out again until this evening.

Meal plan done and we have a £6 off a £40 spend so my plan is to spend just 40 and then brother in laws wine on top!

So I am hoping £46 at a max! We are having takeaway at there's tonight which hubby will pay for- my money situation is quite tight still!

woohoo Kitchen first coat is on which is the more time consuming one! Will do second coat tomorrow

Went food shopping and spent £47 though this included a £8 gift and £5 spur of the moment cider purchase as it was a new flavour I wanted my stepdad to try :) so without those it would have been a £34 shop which isn't bad at all!

    Hi all,

It is my wedding anniversary today! 4 years married and 14 years since our first kiss on Friday :)

Well I did not fail- my kitchen is painted! Saturday I put on the first coat before we went round BILs for a birthday Chinese. Then I got up early Sunday morning and was painting the second coat at 7.40 so I could get it done before my mum picked me and DD1 up to go to exeter for some shopping. When I can home everything was back in its place and hubby was cooking a roast 😃

Got to the train station yesterday and the train wasn't running- typical! So we got back in mums car and she drove. My nan, cousin and aunt went too!

I took a packed lunch and was very proud that I didn't spend too much. I bought a new bath mat and towels from Next to got with our newly painted grey bathroom. And I spent £14 on a top each for DDs. DD1 took her own money and was treated by my nan.

So a £34 spend and £6 on fuel for my mum left me with a £40 spend total on a shopping trip and I didn't splash out on myself at all!

Need to tighten the purse strings now though!

Happy Monday everyone....let Friday arrive quickly!

    Hi all,

I am trying to keep hold of my money but it seems to be slipping away!

I have turned my attention to the summer holidays and paying for childcare. I have 4 weeks to cover my mum does thurs and my nan Friday's. Hubby's mum doesn't work and would have them the other three days a week but I don't want to put that on her so I will ask for 2 days a week. Also when she has them they get pumped full of sugar and sit watching films all day as she never goes out so I don't really want them subjected to just television for 12 days over the 4 weeks.

I have looked at my kids clubs money and because I save more than I need I have June and Julys money of £80 a month that I don't need for club payments. So this £160 will pay for both girls for 4 days at the local leisure centre. This will solve my problem and not cost me extra money!

    Result!

My birthday in a couple of days - woohoo! Dinner tonight with friends to celebrate, we are going to prezz0 so we can use Mr T vouchers :)

    I hope everyone is well

    woohoo- good news....

    We are under £2k!

Hubby told me today that he had paid £200 off his card to take it to £1265 :j This is fab news and means i don't have to worry to much about my £136 as it looks like we may need that for this month...obviously if I do have some left it would be fab to lower it even more

He has checked and his card starts charging interest on the 18th of June so we are both going to put £500 towards it on pay day and he has expenses to claim which should cover the rest.

That only leaves us £712 to pay off at the end of June when we get paid so it is looking like a possibility.

It will be a ridiculously frugal June so we may not make it unscathed. It may be we have to put a little on cc to pay off at the end of the month when we are paid. Though this is fine as there will be no interest. Hopefully it should be fine though!

    Exciting stuff....under £2k....I can't quite believe it!
