Thanks Beanie Lou- I am very pleased!
Still desperately trying to keep money back though £7.50 towards a colleague birthday wasn't part of my plan!
I have £217 left with £106 to come in so £323 in total. This gives me £76 left with £40 to go to my mobile and £7 for house insurance.
So that leaves £29 for food shopping and to cover drinks at a paid for meal on Friday.
Can't quite see me having £247 leftI'll get kind of close though!

Close is still amazing OrangeFairy! I've always said to aim high as even if you don't make it, you're still higher than if you'd not aimed at all.

Hi all,
Hi DFW- thanks I am pleased but know I need to step up the exercise!
Thanks Mrs Toast- in reality I will be pleased with £200 left over! I can add a bit more of this coming payday if need be to get us under the £2k mark. The more money I make on the bay of e the less I need to keep of my May money for spending money!
Today I am working 8 till 4 then DD2 has swimming club with my sister (who is the same age) so mum and I will go there at a cost of 60p parking and £2.55 for DD1 to have a swim too.
Then I'd like a nice relaxing evening to catch up on masterchef!
Tomorrow night is a paid for 3 course meal with my skittle team so just drinks to buy. I have the day off for DD2s assembly which goes on till 11. Then it will either be housework or a bike ride dependant on the weather!
Things still to cost me before payday
Kids swimming £3
Drinks tomorrow £10
Food shopping £40 or under
My swims £7
Dd2 birthday gift for friend £10
Mobile £40
Insurance £7
Water £2
So £119 to come out. I may use the £6 I made on an FB book sale to pay for my swims. However I this was mens to go towards holiday money and it would be a shame to use it! I'll have to have a think......
Right I'm at work now so better get on....

What a lovely day off I have had!
Firstly we went to DD2s class assembly, then a 10 mile bike ride with my Mum and then an hour walk with the dog. Sent DD1 of to an overnight science camp at the met office in Exeter and then skittle dinner and dance.
I budgeted ten pounds for drinks but my mum bought me one and then I had water so a free night!
I gave my mum £2 towards a vice captain present though so that was the only expense.
DD2 got invited to a second party last minute this weekend so I need to buy 2 presents now
However good news is that I was pleased to see the extra £11 on my payslip with the tax change. That will be an extra £22 with hubby and i's- not to be scoffed at!

Afternoon Diaryland
Well we haven't done too much except ferry kids around today.
Went for a food shop but didn't need too much so only spent £35 and got a £6 off £40 spend for next week.
So I have saved £5 from my expected spend plus £8 saving from drinks last night. I have absorbed the £6 books money into my money to cover my swimming...I do have £6 to claim from 2 scratch cards so I can replace it into my spending money.
I also realised £50 of our spending money can be taken from our May food budget as we will be away for a week of food,
Need to check hubby is planning to add his website money to the spends pot....it is my birthday next month so he may have it earmarked for that!
Another good note was that hubby's wage is actually higher by £500 than I thought which means with the extra £11 a month he has £40 more a month than I expected which is great news.
A load of my bay of e sales finish tomorrow so fingers crossed I make a bit. I am hoping to make £30 which would take me to £100 then maybe £60 from hubby's website and £40 from more listings in May would be nice. Add that to the £50 from the food budget and we only need to cover half our spending money so £125 each!
About to watch The Mentalist with our girlies with some treats. DD has just come home from the science event and seems knackered!

Yuck- back to work and a long week it is too!
Yesterday was a nice day though hubby worked 11-4. DDs and I went for a bike ride and DD2 had a party. Queue another unexpected £10 present. Then I ended up paying for £25 of father in laws present as hubby was at work longer than planned so I had to go get it.
We went out for a Wetherspoons meal yesterday which cost £22 for the 4 of us so not bad at all. Hubby paid!
Bay of E- made about £40 with a few more bits going tonight so would be nice to reach the £50 mark!

That was a cheap meal out!! We had a birthday party here on Saturday just gone. I emptied out the pressie box and it was practically empty  I cobbled together a writing set with a book to match it (Guess how much I love you on sale at £1.50 from nearly a tenner :rotfl: ) a box of maletesers (£1 shop
) and a game of dominoes (maybe a £1or £2 in the sales) i'm so tight
but I think it went down well anyway! Must see about getting some more pressies together as it's really properly empty in the box now! xx

Hi all,
One more day till payday on the 30th! Woohoo!
So I have £50 in cash and £117 in my account with a refund of £25 going on tomorrow so I should have.... £192 left which isn't quite the £247 I wanted however it isn't bad!
The two kids party's at £10 each and the unexpected present for father in law of £25 ruined the dream unfortunately!
DFW- I need to do some savvy present shopping I think- having a stash is very wise!

Morning all!
Payday tomorrow- woohoo. Keeping fingers crossed nothing. Unexpected comes out of my account today!
Dinner and lunch from stores and I am working 7.30 till 4.30....very much looking forward to flopping on the sofa later!
Need to send out a load of the bay of E sales so will do a chunk today and another load tomorrow!
Tonight I may spend some time on our budget with the little increases we have had so I am clear where we are- it would be great having a plan going forward for the next few months!
Though it may seem a way away I need to sort out summer holiday childcare shortly so I know what is going on.
