I have come to the conclusion that waking up payday is the nicest feeling ever!!!

Am exhausted this week with doing really long days so am very much looking forward to the weekend.

Hubby announced he has over £100 left before his payday so that's a bonus! I said to put it towards spending money!

So checked my account and all in all I had £192 to pay off the xmas so I was £55 short but never mind. I added £55 of this pay cheque and paid off the £247! Woohoo!

    Off to adjust the figures

    Morning all,

Well most of the bills have been paid. I had to pay £50 to finish off DD1s trip to watch Wimbledon- v.jealous!

I have looked at my targets and I had to get under £2.5k by the end of April so I'm definitely ahead as I will be sub £2k in May. I have £208 to pay to get under £2k which we will sort once we've arrange our spending money. I need hubby to invoice the guy he is doing his website for!

Bay of e sales - I have £100 sitting in the account towards spending money. It should be a bit more but I have used it for buying a couple of items from the site. I have another tenner to go in but this will cover the selling fees.

Mums birthday - I have forgotten a big expense- it is my mums 50th this month and I don't know what I'm doing for her!

Will definitely do some money planning tonight.

Have to drop DD2 to cub camp first and hope it isn't raining!

Also I am buying lunch today as its a colleagues birthday- hopefully I won't spend too much!

    Evening Peeps!

Today hasn't really be frugal! I spent £42 on two pairs of walking boots from trespass in the half price sale. While not necessary I feel they are a good purchase.

DD2 is at cub camp this weekend so she is there now which was my motivation to buy them really as she could do with decent shoes. I bought size 1 and 2 with the intention of taking one set back however she fits in the 2 and I think her older sister with smaller feet will fit in a 1 so I am thinking I will keep the, for her if they fit tomorrow. We do a lot of walking and all their trainers are converse or vans which means slidy soles which are no good for coastal paths!

I'm trying to make myself feel better about it..... :)

Today I moved £87 into our holiday spending saving pot from the ebay sales and also £50 from our food budget for the week we will be away. Will be adding hubby's left over April money and his website money and see how much we need to add to get £500

I have paid the £180 ballet bill which is good and just need to do c tax to get rid of all the big payments!

I have decided our plan is to put £500 each towards the debt in June to make a last push towards the finish line. Even if we just do the £200 in May to get under £2k this will take us under £1k.....might be a big ask though...will have to see how the holiday fares money wise as if there are lots of things to do I don't want to hold back

The possibility is there to be debt free with the end of june pay cheque which is amazing as it is next month. However this is a little ambitious as it means we would have to have a ridiculously frugal June and July. July marking the start of the kids holidays makes it unlikely.....we'll see!

Hi MTG! Thanks I do feel like the finish line is coming up...then comes the balancing of saving for a house deposit which not missing out on life!!!

Today is normally a funny old day filled with shopping and DD1's ballet. So a lazy morning and then hubby and I plan to get some new topsoil for the tortoise table and maybe purchase some blinds for the kitchen and bathroom and check out paint prices. Also to get some currency for the holiday before the election takes place!

DD2 is home tomorrow ....found that DD1 had her teddy in bed with her this morning! She said she always has DD2s teddy in with her when she is away as she misses her :):) Awwwww

Not sure what is planned for the rest of tomorrow and Monday. Maybe a cinema trip if the weather stays horrid. DD2 will be tired so won't want to do much!

Wow you are doing brilliantly. I was just thinking we have a similar amount of debt now however, there is no way I can match a DF date of next month. You are flying :D

    Thanks Crunchy and Starnac.

Starnac - I am thinking it isn't too realistic to think we could be debt free at the end of June however nice to know it is a possibility. Though this leaves me confident to think we could do it easily with the end of July Pay day.

Today has been a spend spend spend day :o:o:o:o

We got our currency... I had £137 saved from ebay and grocery budget so I added £63 of my money and hubby paid £300. He has £100 from last month left over and at least £100 due to him for a website he has built so is only really £100 from this month.

We want to do a segway tour on holiday so may book that and pay before we go so it isn't a chunk from our spending money.

Spent £102 on food shopping today :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Though I have bought fruit flakes, harvest chewee bars and baby bel to last the whole month. Also a lot of the other things like yogurts, cereal and toilet rolls will last us two weeks. We spent £11 on yoghurts but they are my favourite things to eat and the kids eat 1 or 2 a day!

So the positive side is that we did buy quite a lot so will help out other weeks. It also included a massive £11 gammon joint which we will cook and portion in the freezer.

Spent £60 on DIY stuff which really wasn't a necessity but we badly want to paint the kitchen and bathroom and the paint deal in h0meb@se was too good to miss! So we bought paint, some brushes and a new indoor and outdoor mat for our back door (which is effectively our front door as no one comes to the front) These were needed as the others were so shappy. Both kitchen and bathroom need new blinds which hubby will buy (I purchased the above) and the rooms should feel transformed!

So spending money, food shop and DIY stuff today cost us nearly £700

Hubby is getting fish and chips as a treat tonight and then tomorrow we will paint if the weather is miserable.

We got our baby girl back from Cub camp today! :j:j:j

She had an amazing couple of nights with archery, camp fires, wheel barrow races and climbing!

We got home and took her out for a meal as a treat. Cost £50 but we had pudding so wasn't too bad.

Also got the bathroom painted! Woohoo-kitchen next....

Hope everyone is having a great weekend xx

    Evening all,

I so don't want to go back to work tomorrow :(

Today we had a lovely day at the burrows with the kids flying down the sand dunes in snow sledges! They had a ball and all at a cost of £1.50 for parking and £3 on scones and cream for after!

Didn't paint the kitchen as we went out instead- will have wait for a rainy day

I am so pleased with the bathroom- just need to order the new roller blind and perhaps freshen up the woodwork and it will be done!

Now I have been a bit made on spending I will need to be frugal going forwards! Starting tomorrow I will watch the pennies and adhere to slimming world rules as I have been slack this weekend! x
