£8.12 in from prolific and £2.66 from TCB.

Just said on KCs diary I clocked the cost of my shower today. 26p. Will be mindful of the kids when they have theirs for sure!  We did come in under £1.50 yesterday on the electric so pretty chuffed with that.

Must remember to do a meter reading tomorrow as well though I have no faith the electric company will bill us properly.

Sitting outside waiting to go in for my interview. Got here early so I know I’m on time. Haven’t had an interview for years and actually feel quite nervous compared to how I thought I’d feel.

    Good luck for the interview!

And yes, under £1.50 is very good, and so is checking and taking a photo of the meters.

It's horrible, and really hard to get it out of your head, even if you rise above it. I do wonder what this person has done this for, whether it is conscious or unconscious and whether they have any idea of the impact. I am left wondering if others from the group were there and how it made them feel. When I had someone attack me, everyone else was too shocked to stand up for me. I have not put myself in that position since and we have stopped going to the place as I don't go out for social interaction to be attacked by a misogynist. No great hardship not to go and they have lost our regular revenue input

Debtfree, so sorry to hear this - even though you don't care about the person, it can still haunt you, absolutely.  And navigating the friend group has got to be a nightmare :(  I have two ways of coping (because I hear you on the sleeplessness when that happens) - I read old posts in Captain Awkward, using the "friendship" category, and I write out *everything* on the computer, in a Word document I'll never show to anyone, and I'll write and overwrite over days, as much as I want to.  That uses up the energy and takes it out of my head to some pixels on my computer, and I can delete it when I'm ready.

    Sending positive vibes.
