Sanity is good!  A run on the beach will help with that too :) it sounds lovely.  I really miss going to the beach, can't wait to get there again.
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • £5.55 cleared at prolific so payout requested. Nearly at £5 with uncleared surveys so should hit payout again next week.

Despite it being the shortest month I’m ready to see the back of Feb.  Money seems to be disappearing in quite a few directions at the mo!

Ouch to the unexpected bill. Hope you can find a way to balance the finances.

I absolutely understand the ups and downs of the lockdown feelings :( and my word, permanent home educators haven't really been mentioned at all, as far as I know - I'm glad there's *something* in the guidance at least.

Can I ask, what's a bet bill, or is that a typo?

Complete typo - VET bill!  Yikes. That doesn’t sound very MSE at all - my bet bill!  I don’t gamble!

  • So at last the end of the month is in sight.
Spent lots of time in the fresh air sorting out bits in the garden and greenhouse. All the seeds ready for March are lined up. I just need to decide if we are likely to get another frost.

I’ve got verbena on my windowsill (out of date seeds) not looking like they were worth the chance but I’ll give them another week or so. Squash and peppers in the propagator. Some sunflowers are already coming up from an experiment the kids did a month ago but need to plant more of those.

Just looking forward to a weekend of being outside and pottering.

Will post monthly figures later as it’s payday and shuffle the money time.

February update (should put this into context that these include our council tax free months and double payment of a benefit month so March onwards won’t be as bountiful)

    OP £996.64 / £2500
    SAVE £715 / £2000
    EARN £323.14 / £1500
    365 £112 / £365

    Mortgage balance - £62,295.24

Mortgage percentage left to pay - 27%

    94 months left

+ nearly at £1000 OP in two months

+ down to 27% left to pay on the house

+ free money this month was £136.87

    - still money going out on insignificant items / shopping runs to local shop that really mount up so need to stop this!
