  • Oh DF0D I'm so sorry you are going through all this with DS, it sounds like you're having an awful time at the moment. Hope you've felt better today after a couple of hours out xx

  • Pottery class was lovely and we pick up our decorations in a few weeks, soft play also lovely, another Mum came as well and they both made me feel so welcome, also bit more reassured re DS. Didn't' make the fireworks as DS wasn't in a good place by then having held it together all day. High temps and croup hit during the night so just waiting for a GP call back.

Today feels a brighter day despite the lack of sleep for me. Apart from possibly being off to the out of hours docs, it's Christmas decs day. DD too poorly to go to the church service with her rainbow group today and I'll reckon they'll both be off tomorrow from School.

Paid for their party yesterday, £168 lighter. Only need to get cakes though and we are done, so it's worth it for the no stress for me.

That's about all from here, happy Sunday folks.

  • Well, our electric supplier has gone bust according to a MSE email received today. We've only paid one payment to them and I understand that is protected, but I've taken a meter reading today and apparently we have to just wait to see who picks us up - needless to say I'll be moving again as it seems we'll get put on an expensive tariff. so frustrating and I can't believe its goes bust!

    £2 p-base survey and £3 pcone survey done. 60p on pr0filic. 5p off £31 on 1poll

  • Are the little ones looking like they'll be back at school tomorrow DF0D? Boo to the electricity too, are you allowed to start the switching process yet? xx
    Mummytogirls x

  • No apparently you have to wait until you've been moved, goodness knows how we get our money back either.

Mortgage figure updated, will end the year £101,,, something - so likely to be about £1500 off target.

I would be inclined to meter read very often for your records and to keep an eye on your direct debit. I have a nasty feeling that the sh one t is going to hit the fan over this first one to crash and burn & suspect others will follow.

Do you have a spreadsheet (or similar) that you use to keep a record of what you are using. Just remember that when they transfer you to another supplier (and YOU will have no choice - after all you are only the customer) they will put you on their highest tariff. So on your marks!

DS is also affected by this and has cancelled his DD on the basis that it's better for him to owe them (whoever 'them' turn out to be) rather than the other way round.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
