OOps just realised this already on the food board.

Sorry, should have looked there first but it's a board I don't use.

I'm sure it was that chicken offer that was on when I was in Waitrose earlier in the week - the whole shelf had been cleared and it was only 11am (though my local's terrible for getting their stock out).

I usually buy 454g of Aberdeen Angus lean mince beef which is £2.39 half price, very good value but they had sold out yesterday here.

I usually get Catherdral city mature cheddar 350g which is £2 also half price.

I got some of that yesterday morning. Is it really normally over £10 a kilo?

I assumed the 'full' price had been exaggerated somewhat as I normally buy very good quality lean steak mince from a quite posh farm shop at £8 for 3 pounds so the Waitrose version was only slightly cheaper, even though it was allegedly 'half price'.

    Was packed instore today

I thought the frozen diced beef, whole chickens, washing powder and rockys were the best buys. Staff said chickens had been selling out by mid morning all week.

Also lots of xmas snack tubs reduced to 10p each. So twiglets, mini cheddars, cheeselets, etc.

Hey everyone well I have spent a few hours checking the prices of this sale against my super market and it does work out cheaper. I have stocked up ready to begin my second purse again and I also found a promo code for £15 off if you spend £100 I am not sure if I am allowed to post it but if I am and anyone wants it I will post it or I could pm it?

Of the stuff I buy, Twinings Earl Grey @ 2.2p a bag gets three green lights, meaning the cheapest for ages, anywhere on ispyprices. I try and buy at 3p a bag, so this is very good. We bought the last 4 boxes in Buxton today.

    Same for Persil non-bio powder.

I was going to buy some Twinings Everyday teabags from T'c as they are 99p off for 160 bags (£5.00 offer price)
    At W'r they are £2.99!

Got some Cathedral City Cheese for £2 (on offer at £3 at T'c) and some tins of Baxters soups 57p each.

Waitrose aren't very well known for doing such great offers. They're more about quality products so this is a good marketing strategy to get more custom.

I'll pick up some Comfort fabric softener next time (1.5l £1.50) which is actually a better offer compared to L'd when it's at 99p for 750ml.
