Salmond got the oil forecast wrong.. I'll accept that as so did everyone else. But I wouldn't call it 'lying' unless you're going to accuse the OBR of 'lying' about it too ?
You may not like to remember but a little while ago I pointed out that the fall in oil prices was well apparent runaround June/July, well before the Referendum. As a result the optimistic figures in the White Paper, being unaltered and the SNP still promoting them, became an out and out lie.
Do try to concentrate!Union, not Disunion

I wouldn't say people are any more willing, in general, to attach blame to the SNP as opposed to any other political group - it's just more fun to watch the SNP supporters tying themselves up in knots trying to keep the tiniest buck moving. It's like a cross between Twister and Pass the Parcel.
You seem to have missed 99.9% of this thread. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Generali said 'Salmond lied' deliberately about forecasted oil prices. That means everyone 'lied'. Or if you prefer, Salmond got the forecasted oil prices wrong, so that means everyone got them wrong ( since they were all saying the same thing). Either everyone lied or everyone was wrong.
Much as I know it suits you to say 'Salmond lied, but everyone else just got them wrong'. Most people are intelligent enough ( or at least haven't got a descending red mist in front of their eyes whenever the words SNP appear ), to see that wasn't the case at all.
The White Paper was out in Nov 13. Well before oil prices fell. You might want to do some concentrating yourself. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

And it became clear by summer 14 there was a global oil glut. So clear I even posted about it in the thread at the time.
I don't recall a single member of the SNP admitting that outcome threw their financial plans into disarray.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I still wait for an apology from Sturgeon.
To check that I had not missed it a Googled "Sturgeon apologises" .
Over 1 year ago there were a number of entries (check it out), - some recognitions of today?
Up to 1 year ago there were four entries concerning 2 subjects
Up to 1 month ago there were no entries
Like I said a little while ago, politicians get to think they are perfect after a while.
Mind you maybe she is perfection, one would have to look up the word in the SNP New Dictionary.
Gosh you've been on quite a wee road with Google and all this SNP stuff haven't you. May I suggest you finish up by Googling the word 'subsequently' and see what comes up ?subsequently
ˈsʌbsɪkwəntli/
adverb
adverb: subsequently
after a particular thing has happened; afterwards.
"many of the Scots who voted for Union subsequently changed their minds"
synonyms:later, later on, at a later date, at some time/point in the future, at a subsequent time, afterwards, in due course, following this/that, eventually, then, next, by and by; Moreinformalafter a bit;
formalthereafter, thereupon
"he made a bid for the remaining shares and subsequently acquired them"
antonyms:previouslyIt all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

There are very significant differences between the forecasts.
From the pure fantasy levels contained in the 'Wee Blue Book (of lies)' to the bizarrely optimistic in the 'White Paper' to the rather more realistic but still too high levels of the OBR.
Some forecasts were significantly more wrong than others.
Rev Stu and the SNP white paper were amongst the worst.. And lets not forget that at the time all and sundry of the Yes campaign were declaring that the OBR were deliberately lowering their forecasts and Scotland was really about to experience an oil boom.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

If the thread goes on long enough we might find out what the 0.1% of things the SNP get blamed for they actually have some responsibility for.
According to another thread the internet might be full by the time that happens.0 -
