Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

No, I meant that Scots don't pay twice, they pay less than once, in fact 0.84 times or thereabouts.
You can feel insulted if you like, I have no concern for your feelings beyond common decency.
You know nothing of my tax affairs and as it goes I do pay some UK taxes on investment income.
I don't particularly care either way either. Your post was slightly insulting though, and your use of !!!!!! !!! at the end of your post indicated that you did indeed care very strongly about 'something'.. The first part of your post was saying that 'Scots taxpayers don't even pay once'... I suppose it must have been that eh ?
I've long given up regarding your posts on Scottish finances as anything other than Hamish spoon fed stuff which can be safely ignored by all. They never change. Oil/black hole/oil/black hole.
But lets stop with the personal snipes now. They're boring too.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

I was simply pointing out that while Scottish Labour are promising to reverse tax credit cuts penny for penny lost to all.... while there are those, like myself who are uncomfortable with the thought of mitigating cuts from Westminster ( and should that prove to become the 'norm' over the next few years, would obviously prefer independence )....There are those who see 'reversing tax credit cuts' as a subsidy to employers/too generous to those working part time/self-employed etc and have no idea why Scottish Labour would to want reverse any of these cuts. Especially with the 'living wage' coming in.
You appear to be suggesting that the English get the cuts whereas the Scots don't get cuts yet don't pay any extra tax.0 -
LOL, yes of course the SNP is impotent in the face of the slashed spending from those English bast ards. An SNP can never use the powers to increase taxes because the obvious point that independence leads to comparative poverty will become clear.
The SNP is starting to get what they wanted and it leaves them in a state: can't increase taxes because it'll trash the economy but can't increase spending because they can't afford it.
Hopefully the Scots will finally get it. If they don't then independence and a century of poverty awaits.
There you go English again ... I turn off now when you do that crap btw0 -

Yep it's starting to sound like an anti Scottish rant to me ... I'm sure Generali doesn't mean it though.... do u Gen0 -

You're conflating the SNP with Scotland once again.
Once the Scottish Government has the power to vary taxes and roll back Tory cuts they are going to look like idiots if they complain but don't use the powers. The thing that Scottish voters are going to have to get used to is that if they want more spending than the rest of the country then they will have to pay more in tax. It's not that complicated as a concept.0 -
well all sorted
Nicola Sturgeon promises "credible" plans to protect poorer families from tax credit cuts

Interesting. I wonder where the money will come from.0 -
So Sturgeon says she is going to do something on tax credits. Does anyone know what they might be? It will be very interesting to know what her priorities are.
I presume our SNP conributers know. Any ideas?Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0
