Yes we have. The Tories would be much worse. Labour aren't even sure what their policies are yet. There's an election coming up...* and cue NHS 'crisis', Education 'crisis' and Policing 'crisis'... none of which anyone seems to have noticed happening in day to day Scottish living.
Anyway, the Tories would just have done the same with the police force as the SNP are doing now.. from their 2011 Scottish manifesto... oooh what do we have here ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

It's far from last years news.
Scotland would be going independent in just a few months had the SNP won.
Straight into the teeth of an economic crisis.
Oil wasn't "the icing on the cake" as you and so many other claimed.
If we were going indy in the next 6 months we'd have to cut spending by 14% or increase taxes by 16%.
Which do you prefer?
Dealing with the problems and any future economic/oil/financial downturns, as there surely will be be it UK wise, or Scotland wise.. from Holyrood. Thanks. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

To be fair Labour have lots of policies. They have 2 on higher education for example (charge fees and don't charge fees), 3 on Trident (get rid, renew, renew and don't use) and 5 so far this year on the deficit.
I will not have it said that Labour don't have policies. If anything they have the reverse problem!0 -
what is clear is that SNP are on a roll
what is clear too is that roll will come to en end
so the May 16 elections are a key to the next referendum
the SNP probably have a year or so after than when they can hammer the message that the 'Westminster' have betrayed the Scottish people to get to a high 50s for independence.
then things may become interesting when Westminster refuses to agree a referendum ......................
Of course the SNP can be confident that Corbyn will 'support' all three sides of the issue.0 -

The reluctance of Hosie to fess up to a rather fundamental flaw in the SNP's plan makes a majority ever voting for independence very unlikely. I'm not sure that a more effective tactic might be to come clean and tell Scots the truth that independence will make them considerably worse off. A quite literal case of the truth setting you free you might say.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Hosie can not guarantee that a similar situation would not occur given another referendum, but one with an independence win.
Should a major revenue stream collapse between the referendum and the set separation date just what do you do? Going back to Westminster and asking for more time is in theory an option, but would it be viable?
To pretend its not an issue because they lost the referendum is just facile nonsense. They should be assessing these problems and learning from them, not pretending they don't exist.
It is Andrew Marr's job to use these opportunities to challenge Hosie on his economic competence. He is not there to be nice to a politician on the ropes.0 -
Police Scotland is a failure for the SNP?0

So let's hear from the 'non SNP' members about what they have failed on? You fool no one BTW.0

If the oil price doesn't recover. Then what's plan B. That's the unanswered question. One good reason why an independence vote gets parked for a while. I'm expecting a change of tack. Which will result in little more that a constant slating of Westminster. No that it matters. As austerity isn't going away. It's only just starting.0 -
