Frankly, I tire of this twittering on about songs, but as we seem to be doing it, I will try to bring it down to the right level.
I suggest that the English abandon "God Save the Queen" and reserve that for Union-only parades and stuff, and use instead 3 songs (in order to counter the Welsh and the Irish who have too many songs to sing) and have three songs one for each suitable massacre of each of the constituents of the UK. In the 6 Nations Rugby this could be extended to 6 songs, I'm sure we must have fought Italy at some time or other..
Also, rather than adopting a Haka or painting ourselves prettily in wode or something, the English Rugby team Morris Dance at the opposition, and blow them kisses. That will put them off in the close confines of the scrum.
Oo ada, oo ada, oo ada ay eh, I upped 'and I showed 'em the way.
I'd settle for that.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -
Who exactly are these Scottish posters here of which you speak ?
all those that haven't condemned explicitly
'anyone but the English' as racist and unacceptable
and
those that haven't condemned Flower of Scotland as totally unacceptable as a unofficial anthem due to its racist connotations0 -
-
And these people are ? ......
You can speak for yourself and choose to condemn the 'anyone but the English' attitude as racist
and /or agree that Flower of Scotland is an equally inappropriate unofficial Scottish anthem for the same reason (and many others ).
It is your choice : other posters can do so if they wish.0 -

Has Scottish Labour really come to this.. Vote SNP get Tory ! ..but in some area's vote Tory anyway ! Lets get the Tories 6 more seats in Scotland using Labour votes. Because that will keep the nats out. That's a plan and a half right there...
I think some have taken this myopic SNP=Bad thing just a little too far. It'll backfire.
Like you I felt unsure that labour would be practically wiped out as the polls show but their campaign tactics so far lurch from one disaster to the next. It does not bode well for them at all.
I am friends with a labour councillor in Glasgow who repeatedly posts about SNP and their failings. Labour are quaking in their boots.
In my own constituency the labour run council are under fire for proposing to reduce the school week hours. They have reversed that decision but people are outraged and angry at both the labour MP & MSP for claiming they firstly knew nothing of this proposal and secondly their intervention reversed this decision. People/parent power reversed it and everyone knows it.
I think our SNP candidate has a strong chance of victory and nothing will please me more. :-)0 -

did you follow todays news by GDC? they are taking away the steps at the royal concert hall ... wonder why, the bit i found particularly funny was the labour council are the ones to upheave Donald Dewar ... they are literally lurching from one disaster to another... it is fun to watch
Also Kezia had a wee twitter !!!! today, poor lassie doesnt know whats going on, she cant lie and get away with it anymore... Johann got out just in time
Although the SG are worth keeping a wee eye on as well ... a £350m water deal done with Anglian water trying to slip under the radar... not good0 -

I can't recall you saying that 'anyone but the English' attitude is racist and a disgrace to Scotland
nor do I recall you objecting to the Flower of Scotland as a defacto anthem, on similar grounds.
You have the opportunity to make your views clear if you so choose.0
