  • So your entire argument revolves around the SNP simply being as incompetent as Labour.

Well that's one way to get me to agree with you. :)

Yes because Scottish Conservative Governments have been so wonderful... oh wait... there haven't been any. :)
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?
  • I completely forgot that sexual harassment is perfectly fine so long as it didn't happen last week.

    What was I thinking....:o

Are you accusing Mr Monaghan of sexual harrassment 25 years ago ? Was he convicted ? Any police reports on file ? Was he charged ?... Wait...Was this in the Scotsman ? ;)

No- I'll not let you get away with that irrelevant point, my post explained why, different times different politics and austerity.

I stick by what I wrote.

Well austerity means keeping spending frugal and carefully under control. I'd say any underspend was a good thing in that regard. Wouldn't you ?

Government spending is still increasing in real terms every year. Not my definition of austerity.

Reading it too... very interesting. Especially McDougall's ineptness. ;)

Tories and Labour are about to troop through the lobbies together in order to vote for Osborne's fiscal responsibility plan... you know, the one about having surpluses put into law ? Guess what.. the SNP had a surplus this year ! But.. because it's the SNP and not Labour or the Tories.. it's apparently a very bad thing to do. Only, the thing is, Labour and the Tories are going to vote to put surpluses into law in a week or so.

Someone want to clue us SNP type people in with what exactly the problem is supposed to be here ? With the SNP reporting a surplus, something Scottish Labour also reported regularly when in power. Underspends that are simply rolled over into the following year's Scottish spending plans ?

Is this really just a problem when it's the SNP ? And one that warrants full double page spreads in order that Hamish can post it with an 'ouch' underneath ? Then go onto another thread and laud underspends when it's the Tories that attempt the same, and actually vote it into UK law ?

Oh and, how stupid exactly, do you think Scottish voters are ? :(

    Very judging by your posts.

That's not a surplus that's an underspend - a surplus would be generating more income than expenditure, something an independent scotland would find impossible without draconian taxation and huge spending cuts.
Left is never right but I always am.

Oh look re sexual harrassment.. The Herald reported on it 25 years ago too.
The social work move followed a police investigation at the largestone house which can accommodate up to 28 residents. A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said: ''A complaint has been investigated by the police and nothing of a criminal nature was revealed.''

And imo the Thomson case may be starting to backfire. STV made a serious mistake running that video piece ( twice ) tonight on that lady that made 30k on her house... but was still furious about the 'sale'. It's all over the internet with people asking what exactly her problem is. Daily Mail also reporting that some houses were sold months later not the same day.

10k also seems to have gone missing from Dugdale's constituency office. 18 months ago. How much did she know ? ;)
