It now seems Nicola Sturgeon's chief of staff got involved in the grant of £150,000 of additional profit taxpayer cash to the already profitable T in the Park festival.
And that the SNP front bencher responsible for approving it didn't even bother to check the financial details provided.
And they wonder why they're earning the 'SNP-BAD' moniker....
Probably be easier to defend if the lobbyist involved wasn't quite so cozy with the upper tiers of the SNP machine...

Of course this may not be Sleaze and Cronyism at work and it might all be a matter of incompetence and/or extraordinary coincidences, but if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, chances are it ain't a chicken.
The hits keep coming ? Nope, this one was quietly dropped last week.. when it was revealed Labour run Glasgow City Council gave T in the Park £200,000 when it was hosted there. But of course, that was different...
Last weeks news Hamish. Things change fast. And we now know that cash grants to T in the Park are nothing to do with 'sleaze and cronyism'. Labour councils are pretty happy to do so on their doorstep too.The T in the Park promoters were given £200,000 of *tax payers cash towards hosting concerts in Glasgow the Culture Secretary has revealed.
Fiona Hyslop came under criticism in the Scottish Parliament for the second day in a row over the government’s funding of £150,000 for the music festival in Strathallan in Perthshire.
In among questions form Tory, Labour and LibDem MSPs she was asked by an SNP MSP , if she knew of any funding to DF Concerts for the Summer Sessions in Glasgow.
The council however said the two were not comparable as well as economic benefit to the city it would get every penny back in rental charges for Bellahouston Park.
Story was in the Herald a few days ago as well ( buried in the depths of course). I can't be bothered trawling through for it. Labour is truly really going for it for May 16 aren't they with their tame newspapers.A real shame half of Scotland don't bother reading them any more. I see sadly that the Herald are having to let yet more staff go.
Too many easily debunked ( as above ) smear attempts you see.. And no-one really minds money given to T in the Park given the status of the event and what it generates. What we really want to know is what Scottish Labour are going to say on Trident, free votes in independence/further devolution, policing and education. And if they'll back Corbyn to the hilt or not. Thompson and T in the Park are a sideshow.BroadcastingScotland â€@broadcastscot Oct 1 According to unionists, @theSNP conspired with the Crown Office and @Lawscot to elect a candidate they believed had broken the law. #absurd

It was the deals structured by the buyers and sellers of the property which were dodgy.

You'd have to be a complete and utter idiot that knows absolutely nothing about business to bung people 30 grand cashbacks from a mortgage property deal and not know it was fraudulent.
So unless you're claiming that the MD and founder of Business for Scotland was a complete and utter idiot that knows absolutely nothing about business....
Oh, wait....
Crikey....
Glad I wasn't the one quoting them ad infinitum during the indyref campaign.
Well if true, I suppose she'll step down won't she ? Either as a complete idiot or someone who was all out to commit mortgage fraud knowingly. But the police reports a few days ago said that Michelle Thomspon wouldn't be part of their 'initial investigations'. And neither of the above is provable at the moment. I'd prefer to wait the outcome. But I suspect she's been damaged too much by the accusations themselves. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Well that's not exactly good for Business for Scotland's credibility either, as an organisation that she founded and helmed throughout the indy campaign....
Those of us who are not, well, complete idiots saw right through that mob as the thinly veiled propaganda outfit they were, and pointed out their lack of experience and credibility.
However this was dismissed by yourself and many others who continued to quote them as a source and promote their claims as facts.
And if you could try to respond in a way that actually answers the points raised rather than trying to deflect with an attack on Labour that'd be nice.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

And in other news...
Check out this glowing endorsement of Michelle Thomson, who it has now been reported took advantage of distressed sellers, including a cancer ridden widow, by snapping up their homes at knockdown prices using suspected mortgage fraud.Social Justice Secretary Alex Neil said Ms Thomson understood "how business can be used to support social justice".
Spectacularly poor judgement continues to be an SNP hallmark.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Which points is it that you raise ? I only saw newspaper quotes. Please clarify. The T in the Park story isn't what you presented it as, and I've pointed you to evidence disputing accusations of 'cronyism and sleaze'.. since Glasgow City Council ( Labour run ) gave T in the Park £200,000. That's not an 'attack on Labour. It's just the facts as they stand.
Michelle Thompson has some serious question marks above her head at the moment. No-one is more annoyed about stories like this appearing than supporters of the SNP such as myself. I hope she answers them very quickly indeed. However, the police have stated that she's not even part of their inital investigations, she's resigned the whip and has suspended herself from the party by doing so. I'm not really sure what else you think needs to be done by the SNP at this point. If these allegations are true, then they've made a serious mistake in their vetting procedures..... However, vetting procedures are one thing. Party politics quite, and by some way, are another. You're trying to conflate the two.
Oh and I learnt long, looooooooong ago not to bother quoting anything from Business for Scotland or Wings over Scotland. As it was pointless. In actually fact, I probably visit both less than Generali does these days. Business for Scotland I think I've visited about 3 or 4 times EVER. But that doesn't mean that their arguments are any less valid than anyone else's when it comes to Scottish issues. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Yes it was Soooooooooo looooooooooooong agoooooooooo, nearly a whole 2 months (!), in post 4988 of this thread, but you did take the precaution of not referencing Wings.
And you're right, quotes from Wings are useless.

Wow, that's slightly worrying you did that lol ! Perhaps I should clarify further...Oh and I learnt long, looooooooong ago not to bother quoting anything from Business for Scotland or Wings over Scotland. As it was pointless.
The post you mention doesn't mention the SNP. It's about the General Election and UKIP voters voting Conservative if there was a chance Labour or Lib Dems could win the seat. But anyway, no I don't as a rule quote from either BfS or WoS. It's the equivalent of Jackie Baillie appearing in any anti-SNP article. Little point reading any further once mentioned. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
