Am sure the teething problems will be worked out. It's brand new and shiny. It'll settle in and down like other hospitals do once opened.
Well, as an SNP member, I can assure you, that it's name is something I'm 'intensely relaxed' about. As are most. It doesn't really matter.
And what exactly would you call your attitude of anything Tory/Labour/Lib Dem /Westminster = BAD ? An opinion shared with the rest of the newly persuaded SNP conscripts. Strange how those converted in the last 2 years to 'the cause' are the most defensive and vociferous of their new belief.
SNP since its inception have done nothing more than snipe from the sidelines, and spend or mis spend depending on your opinion a pretty generous fixed budget. They're no more capable today even with their hastily assembled crew of 56 party central parrots.
Think I mentioned the teething problems would be resolved so no need for you to repeat what I said. Even when fixed I would still hate to ever land in there. For me and many others I've spoken to, it's just too big, showy and impersonal looking. Biggest isn't always best, and I'd think the same no matter who was responsible for its creation.0 -
As a simple example of SNP sideline sniping, Mr Salmond of the inflated ego , casually sniped as he's prone to doing , on last weeks ' This Week' with Andrew Neil that the UK should be offering help to the people of Greece.
But when asked 3 times by Andrew Neil, how much money he felt the UK should donate, Salmond's vague response was ' not necessarily financial help'
With bated breath, I waited thinking Salmond was finally going to fess up SNP's secret weapon - How to grow your economy by 16% or more per year to cover your populist policy spending in 1 easy lesson.
But sadly he didn't, the global economy's most wanted secret economic policy remains under wraps still, buried deep within SNPs secret cupboard of magical solutions.0 -

It means they're making their own decisions and therefore its own mistakes and getting the blame (although their satisfaction levels seem high). The less decisions Scotland leaves to Westminster the less it'll need to moan about the place.
As regards moaning about Tory/Labour/Lib Dem /Westminster it's like moaning about the identikit parties that think the bins should be collected on a Tuesday, or a Wednesday. Same policies, similar administrations, under a compliant uncritical press and far away from scrutiny, if they moan about one they're right to moan about them all.
It's like Frankie Boyle being puzzled about the people who says he looks like one of the Proclaimers. As they're identical twins he says he must look like both of them.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Well it would help if people got things right before they posted stuff that is a load of nonsense based entirely on articles in the Telegraph and other outlets. I've just spent the last three pages refuting a widely held and firm belief that the SNP is cutting the Scottish NHS, and that there is some sort of 'crisis' going on with targets and spending. To the point of someone saying that voting for the SNP is akin to voting for 'Death'.
When pointed to the correct info. Silence.
Good news on the NHS and A and E units today though. Definite improvements being made over the last few months. Don't you think ? Though I suspect it's yourself that will be sniping at the sidelines rather than dispense any praise where due.Scotland's accident and emergency departments have met a key waiting time target for the first time since weekly reporting began. Official figures indicated 95.4% of patients were seen and then admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours. The latest numbers cover the week ending 12 July. The government's interim target set a figure of 95%.
Health Secretary Shona Robison called the news "extremely promising"....
When weekly reporting started in February, only 86.1% of A&E patients were treated within four hours. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Sadly Ms Robinson has since corrected her figures after it was pointed out that 4 health trusts had missed their targets.

I know, those amended figures change things so much ! I just can't imagine how they'll reach that magic 95% figure from the lowly depths of... errr.. 94.6, 94.7 and 93.9... from the healthboards who didn't quite make it.The amended statement quoted Ms Robison as saying: “It is also good to see that every health board in Scotland treated nine out of 10 people within four hours, with 13 treating around, or more than 95 per cent.”
NHS Ayrshire and Arran (94.6 per cent); NHS Grampian (94.7 per cent); NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (93.9 per cent) and NHS Lothian (94.7 per cent) had fallen short of the target. As @UKLabour fail to oppose the #FinanceBill, @theSNP have occupied the space held for the opposition at Westminster.the SNP has taken over the Labour front bench #parliamentThe SNP occupying the opposition benches in the Commons this afternoon
Disgraceful ! And on the last day of term as well...It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

If you say so.
Does make the SNP look a tad amateurish though. If I don't reply to your post,

I must have missed the post where you showed that spending is rising faster than inflation. Normally I just give up because of the futility of arguing with fanatics.0 -

Unfortunately target setting is done by those that don't run hospital departments. Nor for that matter could even run a production line. Words are the easy part. Daily life is far more complicated. Increasingly so with an ageing population. Where demand for services can only grow.0
