Even better, Better Call Saul is on Netflix so I'm gonna watch it.

My explanation on another thread that there are obvious cynical reasons why unionist media are bigging up the scale of the "SNP surge" seems to be coming true.
"Labour cut poll lead by half!" How humbling for the SNP!:rotfl:

    :D

Even that report isn't accurate.. the TNS poll was done overlapping the YouGov, IPSOS and the Ashcroft polls ( ie at the same time, but face to face so the results take longer to collate/publish ).. So it's down to different methodology, not some kind of 'narrowing' over 'time'. How could it be ? There were also a huge number of don't know's..

That said. Things are heating up. One thing that does strike me though is how Scottish Labour seem to be intent on fighting the General Election in May... on some kind of weird 2016 Holyrood platform. And trying to manufacture some kind of 'NHS in crisis' thing. This yesterday just sums Scottish Labour up at the moment...The two (one MSP one MP candidate) ladies took a pic of themselves standing in front of the old dilapidated disused Health Center with the words..

 The new one was next door. They made a huge mistake fighting the 2011 Holyrood election on a Westminster platform ( neglecting that in Scotland the SNP were their main opponents ). And does anyone actually know yet if Jim Murphy is standing as a MP or not in May ? Because he's convinced he's going to be an MSP and First Minister in 2016.

All that said. I hope no-one gets too carried away with the polls expectations. There's still a lot of Labour support out there. And 40+ seats for the SNP. Hmmm.. not convinced.

Nicola going down to London today, with several other visits planned and setting the stage there (SNP wise) on a Westminster platform was a good move though.

Ps watched the first Better Call Saul tonight. Was impressed and looking forward to watching the second one tomorrow night. :)
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

It would truely be mad to fight a Scottish election on Scottish issues like the poor NHS outcomes in Scotland.

We all know that anything wrong in Scotland whether devolved or not, is entirely the fault of the English.

On the poll results, apart from repeating my post on it, I think it's a matter of you takes your subsidy and takes your pick.

I see Sturgeon is repeating her intention to instruct her MPs to vote on English matters. For the moment they can do that.

I am begining to think that maybe there is a Private Members Bill on the Horizon; no I take that back - I seem to have caught the wishful thinking bubble bug.

As long as it affects the Barnett Formula.. then it's not truly English.

Only FFA or Independence and a complete scrapping of it would make it any other way. Or a devolved English parliament based on a PR system and allocated funds out the UK pot.

So you'll probably just have to get used to it for the forseeable. Labour and Lib Dems' don't want EVEL either. You're right also, that there will be no private members bill.

You and Scottish Labour keep repeating to yourselves those tired old mantra's if it makes you feel good. Not really true though.

The latest report, carried out between August and September, 2014, was published last Thursday as part of the Social Attitudes Survey.
It’s findings were clear. Satisfaction with the Health Service in Scotland is now running at its highest ever level and is now much stronger than in England or Wales.
The conclusion was “in 2014, satisfaction with the NHS in Scotland was 75 per cent, the highest ever recorded.
This was significantly higher than satisfaction levels reported in England (65 per cent) and Wales (51 per cent).
The gap in satisfaction between Scotland and the other two countries is now one of the largest since 1983.”

You have made my point very well.

There is little political discussion of the Scottish NHS amoungst the Scottish political parties in spite of the poor health outcomes in that region.

Of course SNP are always willing to discussion the English NHS.

Surely you are fair minded person, interested in social justice and believe that money should be transferred from rich to poor.
The Barnett formula was a corrupt invention of a Labour politician keen to buy Scottish votes.
It was continued by the parties (including Tories) for the same corrupt reasons.
Labour and Lib Dems want to continue as they see narrow political advantage and for no principled reasons.

Surely you don't approve of this?

As long as the Barnett Formula/Scotland's block grant is affected by how much or how little the English NHS gets then it's every Scottish residents concern too.

Of course I don't approve. But until independence or FFA that's what we're ALL stuck with. We'll all just have to live with it for now.

The first paragraph - Parasitic justification as always

The second paragraph - It has already been explained why that is not going to happen

The third paragraph - enjoy your bubble before it bursts, as it will. The seeds are already there, fostered by the SNP themselves.
