SNP have played brilliant chess either way. With Tories in power the drizzle of grievance will become a blizzard and independence will be expedited.

the Drizzle of Grievance. Sounds like a tourist attraction in Lanarkshire.

... or maybe a collective term for a group of SNP MPs.

I see that Sturgeon is already demonstrating her disenguity.
"My message today to Westminster is this - Scotland's voice will be heard in Westminster now more loudly than it has ever been before."

Since Scotland has no more and no fewer MPs than before, is she implying that the previous Scottish MPs weren't properly representing their constituents - or simply that the SNP's voice will be heard in Westminster now more loudly than it has ever been before ?

If anything, Scotland's voice will be heard more quietly.

When Scotland returned mostly Labour MPs her representatives were members of HM's Loyal Opposition.

Now Scotland has returned a bunch of MPs that form the third biggest group. That has ramifications in terms of being able to propose debates, ask questions and placings in select committees.

40 Labour MPs just got voted out. It really doesn't take a genius to work this one out.

The single Tory MP, on the other hand, will undoubtedly play an important role, and have direct influence, in the Conservative Government.

It's just unfortunate that he represents far fewer of his constituents' views than he did in 2010.

A personal victory for him, but a loss for a massive chunk of the people he represents.

There is probably some moderate independence middle ground.

The Scots could borrow if they wish, as long as the commitment to repay is clear obviously.

Equally, if they wish to raise more in taxes then I don't see why they can not do so.
Indeed. Local councils borrow with the intention of paying back later, with no central bailout. Scotland can do likewise......so long as they can find an institution willing to lend to them, as I suspect the chances of default will be high......this will inevitably lead to high interest rates on the debt.

Similarly, let Darling Nikki raise income tax rates to whatever she and her electorate want. 60% on income over £150k? I think she will find that those people will have fled Scotland before giving her the chance to get her mitts on their taxes. Nikki, Waltzing Matilda and Welsh Windbag Woman will find out that life's not that simple. So who is the next target......the middle income earners? They will follow. Scotland will become a barren wasteland of welfare recipients.

    Her problem is twofold:
    - no one will be listening
    - no one cares what she has to say.

Her only hope was for her and Fat Al to take their Labour poodle for a walk every day with its choke collar. She destroyed all hopes of a Labour government. She's reaped what she sowed. She now gets what she is given.

How dare Scotland vote against fat, bloated, sweaty Tories like yourself, eh?
