No need to speculate, you can watch the video for yourself....

Close tight camera angles, one guy with a megaphone getting huckled to the back of the ( rather small ) crowd. Fuss over nothing. Widely misreported in a co-ordinated manner = PR stunt. The main protester is well known it seems.

Oh and, no SNP tip offs...
The serial campaigner also claimed he had been tipped off about the event by disaffected members of the Labour Party within Mr Murphy's East Renfrewshire heartland...

He added: "I was told by members of the Labour Party in East Renfrewshire at 8.30 am this morning. I had time to ring around people.

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Here's one of the mob leaders from the 'Scottish Resistance' crew that disrupted today's Murphy/Izzard event....

According to Shakey and Co, he has nothing to do with the SNP of course.... :)

Honestly, call that a mob! You have a very short memory....if you can cast yourself back to George Square the night the referendum was decided. Now that was a fairly violent mob and they were bedecked in...well i'm sure it's coming back to your selective memory!

    Stop this childish mud-slinging!

There have always been mobs, of all persuasions. It's part and parcel of taking political discourse out into the streets. But the Jim Murphy one, just looks more of a set up than anything to be worried about.

Labour members from Jim's own constituency phone up a well known non-aligned political activist ( he's demoed against the SNP also in the past ).. then invite TV cameras along... Hmmm... ;)

But Jim Murphy is nothing special in politics. And protestors against political figures on the streets are nothing new. Trying to single out any one organisation and paint it as a 'hate filled mob' is futile. You should give up with this now. It's not reality. And is such a shame debate here gets bogged down in it. Even worse that it actually has gullible others here believing such nonsense is confined to Scotland and one political party,.. or indeed, that political protesters, of any persuasion, are confined to just the last 3 years in Scotland.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Tensions in Scotland are at boiling point. Metaphors are being mixed. Whatever happens the political make up of the UK will never be the same again and an anxious nation looks to Nicola Sturgeon to bring unity and accord. This will be the biggest test of the plucky Scot's mettle of her political career to date. Will Sturgeon be triumphant, will she waver like a Milliband, or sell the Scot's out like a Clegg?

Whatever happens this week looks to be one of the most interesting in UK politics since September. Never again can the mainstream parties take Scot's votes for granted.

    A serious question to Scots.

Are those incidents going to continue in Scotland?

    Is that the future?

We are getting a bit fed up with it as well, you can't even do wind ups up here any more,it's all too serious.

Tory candidate up here had the nerve to stand outside the football and hand out flyers on Saturday-good for him.He is a Morton fan and was as happy as the rest of us at 5pm.No reports of any hassle although a lot of his leaflets were chucked away,he would be a credit to a safe Tory seat.

SNP have flag wavers which are like bay city rollers gigs in the 70s!

Libdems and ukip seem to make up the numbers,then.....

Labour, hard to describe.like communist party in Eastern Europe in the early 90s,can't believe they have been deposed and mega attention seekers.

If you walked out the pub down south and shouted "rubbish" at a politician it would probably be laughed at,up here it would be reported as nationalist or unionist hatred.!

They are just looking for a story, best thing to do is ask them an awkward question and look bored at the answer:)
I have a deep burning indifference
