It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

    Can't say I blame them.

Debating economic reality with a Scottish Nationalist is like debating evolutionary biology with a Christian Fundamentalist.

    Pointless.

It's rather like discussing debt with Mr Micawber, "Something will come along".

    Indeed....

Although in the case of Scotland, 'something' turns out to be just more debt....

I absolutely agree, I did not for one minute expect everyone to hold similar views to the Scots. It was the naked, ugly self interest. I've never seen anything like it.

For the first time I despaired for the union and I fought tooth and nail through the referendum to preserve it.

I think you would be happier without us.

    a very racist view

but I suppose one isn't entirely surprised given the 'anyone but the English ' culture and the 'Flower of Scotland' and the nationalism

Ah no, we were talking realities of FTPA for the last two pages. Something you seem to be completely unaware of. But as you were. It'll be all the more of a wake up call for you if the Tories don't get in, even if they are the largest party.
