Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

could you say who this 'agreement' was between?
many of us have never heard of it.
I'm not an MSP nor member of the SNP, but as I understand it, when the UK made the decision to increase fees in the RoUK, there was a discussion between the Scottish education secretary Michael Russell and the UK education secretary David Willets.
It was important for all Universities not to see a huge influx of RoUK students to Scottish Universities as a result of the UK government policy to increase tuition fees.
I also understand (although not checked recently) that students from the RoUK have increased at Scottish Universities, despite maintaining the costs imposed by the RoUK government.
therefore, rather than criticise the SNP for providing free tuition to it's residents, your focus should be LAbour who introduced and the Con . Dems who increased the rates in the RoUK.:wall:

Point to where I said that. Pretty much all the SNP supporters on here just put up straw men just as you do.
It's because everything is coming crashing down around them: the referendum was lost and their tiny number of votes look to count for nothing in Westminster.
All you have to fall back on is lies, division and bitterness.0 -

As requested.
I presume you will be retracting the above post which is full of "lies, division and bitterness"More polls out today.

It's starting to look like the momentum is with the Tories. Add to that the couple of points status quo vote and they might even scrape a majority. We'll see.:wall:

It is not the fault of Labour Con or Libs that they didn't have enough slosh spare to pay for free university in rUK.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

Provide some reference to show that the SNP corruptly colluded with the conservatives to discriminate against the young people of Yorkshire.
Was uncle Alex bullied by the Tories into discriminating against the young people of Yorkshire?
As you know the Scottish policy of 'free' uni education also discriminates against the poorer scottish people and disproportionately helps the richer scots. A policy that Thatcher would be proud of and increases inequality.
As I support fairness and support reducing inequality, the rich shouldn't be subsidised by the poorer section of people in this way.0 -
With all that slosh from the excess per capita payments made under Barnett, if I was the SNP I would also give free university tuition. Great policy.
It is not the fault of Labour Con or Libs that they didn't have enough slosh spare to pay for free university in rUK.
Yes, the Lib Dems said they would abolish Tuition Fees and then voted with the conservatives to triple them.
It's not their fault, nor the Conservatives, nor Labour who first introduced the fees.
How much does this cost the government?
I bet there are plenty of areas to find the funding as opposed to restricting it only for the rich or ensuring the youth leave with such debts:wall:

The money for 'free' uni education, can easily come from the poorer people in society (who proportionately don't go to uni) and from graduates who don't earn significantly more than 21,000.
Free Uni education is a win for the rich, and a lose for those that don't go to Uni and the poorer graduates.
Scottish idea of reducing inequality in practice, more for the rich and less for the poor.0 -

No they can't, the decision to discriminate against the English was entirely made by the SNP.0 -
No they can't, the decision to discriminate against the English was entirely made by the SNP.
You are the single spokesman for Yorkshire then.
How authoritarian of you.
Time to take the blinkers off and realise how to conduct a debate. Remember it's not "de bait"
P.S.,there is no clause in the SAAS recommendations against the English, only non residents of Scotland.
Don't discriminate against the Welsh and Northern Irish will you.:wall:
