Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

If they were allowed to, your most successful clubs would join the Premiership in a heartbeat.
Although that might actually result in more financial success for them (would more than one team be permanently resident in the premiership?), I don't think that they would add any more silverware to their trophy rooms. I wouldn't imagine any more European football either, apart from maybe an occasional appearance in the Europa League.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Oh and I forgot ye olde one she came out with
And I dinnae like Alex Salmond ....
what ever is the relevance of liking or not liking uncle alex in voting yes or no to independence?
or are you saying you consider her stupid enough to base her voting on the liking or not liking the messenger?0 -

No I'm saying .... If you were involved in the campaigning at all you would've heard a whole host of reasons to vote no
Were no big enough
Were no rich enough
Were no smart enough
Were subsidy junkies
And one of the common ones was .... I hate Alex Salmond
There were many more, those are just the highlights0 -
I had another thought.
Do the Tories and SNP actually make an unlikely C&S alliance.
Suppose Conservatives have an E&W majority
Add in EVEL
Could the deal be devo so max that tory english austerity would not affect scotland (ie indepence in all but name) but the tories being left able to claim that they had not agreed to the splitting of the union. With that much devo why would the SNP care what was happening in rUK if it was not affecting them whilst the tories could govern rUK via EVEL....both sides get what they want.I think....0 -
We've been promised devo Max anyway, the SNP intend on getting the VOW delivered ... SNP don't like Tories so I highly doubt it if they will do any deals with Tories0

Wouldn't the SNP do the best deal for Scotland rather than care about who they were doing the deal with?I think....0 -

So you are saying that after 2-3 years of relentless truth and honesty from the SNP government, the people of Scotland (including this lady) were too stupid to recognise the true facts?
Well, not my view but yours.
Maybe if the SNP wrote in recognisable English, they may have convinced more of the Scots.
If you are telling me that you truely believe that a great number of Scots didn't vote for independence solely on the basis of disliking Alec, then they are probably too stupid to govern themselves.
Narrow escape!0 -

The Tories have little support in Scotland. They can't be seen to be propping up a UK govt, that Scotland doesn't vote for ? It would be like the Tories propping up a government run by George Galloway, or the Scottish Socialist Party. Never going to happen. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
And before anyone else mentions it the Telegraph is running a front page scoop today... Which they are very shortly going to have to print a grovelling apology for ( if they aren't already pulping the copies ).It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Alex Salmond was a hard sell to older Labour voters, who've spent decades ( misguidedly) regarding the SNP as the sole reason Thatcher got in, in 1979..Salmond came to prominence in the SNP while that was still fresh in a lot of memories. The media in Scotland spent a lot of time personalising the 'Blow for Salmond' headlines and referendum debates solely around him.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
