Don't agree with these spacesSo you don't need a child, just a buggy? Do you need to get it out of the car or can you just leave it in the back?Je suis Charlie.0

Well, yes, it's a semantically difficult issue. My 3 year old only doesn't need his buggy much, but we do appreciate a wider space when getting him into his car seat (more like a bigger booster really)So you don't need a child, just a buggy? Do you need to get it out of the car or can you just leave it in the back?
Ultimately, we've never been unable to park because of a lack of a parent & child space - they're more of a luxury than a necessity. This includes the times we've hauled around a double buggy and a smaller buggy in the boot. We don't have a particularity small car either.
I do get a bit narked off when I see teenagers and their parents getting out of a child/parent parking space!0 -
I thought most places called them Parent & Toddler spaces now?
When they can get in and out on their own, you don't need the extra space.0 -
Don't agree with these spacesTop Tip - Booster seats can be bought for under £10 in most supermarkets. Keeping one in the car allows me to use the extra wide spaces and protect my doors from expensive dings and scratches...<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

Don't agree with these spacesThe serious answer is, I think, when the kids can safely walk (needing no pram or buggy) and are aware of danger - I walked to school alone at seven, so that seems a fair age.
But, I am now a grandparent ... so what if some pedantic person decides that my grandkids don't count?Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Once you are not leaving the child (ren) in the car whilst you return the trolley as sometimes these can be a bit of a walk away and the car could be out of sight."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

So, according to that definition you cannot use a C&T space in a PE "controlled" car park if your child is older than two and a half. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
