Running a bit behind with Mins Game, did manage to take a load of things to the CS round the corner. Took the car and managed to park right outside, so I left the assistant putting our things out as I browsed around. Was very good, took over 100 things in, only bought a jigsaw in return! (Well, how many of us can go in a CS without buying anything!??).

I have a hotpoint aquarius tumbledryer and got a phone call from them last week and I said I no longer had a dryer as I thought they were selling me something. Just watched the news and they are a fire risk and have been recalled. Oops. Guess who has KM the paperwork for it.
Is it just tumble dryers? Is there any known issues with their washing machines?0 -

Morning all
Hope everyone is well in the land of kondo
Yesterday's sewing/table clearing attempt went quite well, a pair of bootees and three baby cardis were finally finished seen up and buttons added so they can now be given to the neighbour who supplied the wool and requested them.
Made mil two cushion covers using fabric, ribbon and two big feather filled cushion pads I had stashed so a Christmas gift sorted that will be useful (she has asked for cushions) and it uses stuff from the stash cupboard.
Need to pop into school first thing and check the ruff I made is suitable then I can make seven more. Using a piece of old sheeting from my stash so it's getting rid of stuff.
Will mend duvet cover will machine is out as it has no stitching along the bottom either side of the poppers so the duvet tries to escape in the night.
Right better get the boys Kondoed off to school/work then I can make a start.
Have a joyful day all.SPC~12 ot 124

A Hommage to Polly.
Dear Younger GQ,
Don't craze your long-suffering parents for that film SLR camera for your 18th birthday as it will be too heavy to tote about and obsolete because of these new-fangled digital cameras. You will also discover that you can't even sell it when you need the money as the technology has moved on. And that college module on photography when you worked to master darkroom skills...........? Waste of time, mate.
Oh, and about that 1984 perm and those bright red Chelsea boots........ Just. Don't. Do. It - ok?:rotfl:
Funnily enough, the C@sio battery powered alarm clock bought on the exact same day as my SLR camera is still going strong and even woke me up this morning, when I would have much rather been asleep.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Polly and GQ :rotfl:
Mine would go something like this.Young Mavvymoo.
Dont get married (for the first time) To someone you met laying face down drunk outside the bowling alley and if you are that stupid dont wear a Sue Ellen style shoulder pad suit to do it (those photos never lie)
Dont spend 2 months salary and 6 hours of your time in 1984 moving on from the shaggy perm to the spiral perm which was permed using chopsticks :DIt will never ever look like it does on the models no matter how much you try and 'style it' !
But continue to wear those Red Chelsea boots and long boots and shoes as you will still be wearing them in 2015 without a care in the world and still getting great joy out of them
Give up on the platform shoes somewhere in the late 70s as you will hit your head on the door while getting on the coach to go ice skating at Queens and never get there as you will have to go to hospital and have stitches in your head :rotfl:
Dont leave home to early and struggle to do it all on your own as in later life it will come back and bite you on the bum
Live each day as if its your last and have fun, notice the small things and take the time to stare. Do not surround yourself with carp as you will spend years deciding what to do with it :rotfl:Both people and 'stuff'.;) But if you do you will join a kult and learn so much from lovely people on a forum.Who can laugh and cry with you on the roller coaster of life with kondoSo its not that bad after all

Oh goody, I like a challenge
Dear in 15-20 years you will be VJsmum
The spots will go and you will get boyfriendsbut don't spend too long crying over that d*ck who let you down too often, he really wasn't worth it
hug your mum, one day she won't be there and you'll wish you'd done it more
Take it all much more slowly .
When you fail those A levels and that year of your degree just remember that it adds to who you are and one day you will be contemplating a PhD (note, I didn't say "don't fail them")
Don't hold on to things "just in case", it's rarely necessary. It will save you time in the long run but you will miss out on the fun of online friends in the same boat.
Realise sooner that, actually, you're alright - just being you..I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
