    Confession time:
Today I bought a new hand towel just because it is so colourful and it makes me joyful. :D it's not called Gary, as far as I know ;)

not sure I should be bringing more things into our little home but I did resist getting the matching bath towel because we have enough already, OK?? (I think I have mentioned before that they are boring colours, so this joyous colourful one will be a bright beacon whenever it is in use).

I did follow our Leader's good example earlier today when I helped my neighbour fold and arrange her second COD full of jumpers and long sleeved tops. They looked amazing when we'd finished, colours graduated from light to dark, blues and greens in one drawer, pinks reds and purples in another. We were very proud of ourselves :)

Still lots more Kondoing to do at my house but various admin tasks will have to take precedence this week (shame!). Oh, some wrapping paper will be kondo'd because we have lots of december birthdays and some of the pressies need posting (small nephews and nieces who want something to unwrap, as opposed to the older one who want gift cards!).

Went out for tea but it's really blowing here now and there was quite a bit of debris on the raods as we came back. Hope everyone is OK, take care!

Yay VJsmum for handing your notice in to start the PhD next year. I bet THAT was a good feeling!!

    Nite All,

    M
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.
  • I love reading all your stories, thank you.

    Day 17 - 14 items

    1. Nail gift set
    2. Notebook
    3. Eyeshadow set
    4. Tablecloth
    5. Quilt cover
    6. Pencil case
    7. 1 glass
    8-10. 3 books
    11-12. 2 keyrings
    13-14. 2 pillowcases

Didn't get much done today as we had to go food shopping and when we got back from that and had put it all away I was in need of a nap! It is getting harder now to find random items, I still have my clothes to do though, also the loft and the craft cabin. And of course, the reams of photos we've got stashed away in the loft. Have supposedly done clothes and photos earlier in the year before we moved, but I've since accumulated more clothes and only half-heartedly did the photos. We always got 2 sets printed when we put the film in for developing (before the days of digital cameras!), so have lots of duplicates. Plus of course the rubbish photos that were out of focus, ones where someone's head or legs were cut off..... Maybe that's a job for December, when everyone else is out shopping!
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

MMF007 bath towels dye very well as they are cotton do if it's just boring colours that are putting you off a pack of dye may make them joyful.

Hoping to get into work early and trim one of the trees that had been left plain, I think I have enough stuff to do both.

The table is slowly clearing, but I need to get back in focus and do some more on dgs stocking or will be here before that is finished.

Glad last nights football match went ahead with no problems.

    Have a joyful day all.

    Morning all :D
Congratulations VJs Mum how exciting for you all :)

Had a stressful day yesterday as there was a RAT in the boot of my car :eek::eek:
I picked up a big sack of cooking apples from a lady to take to another lady and it must have been in the sack. So when I went to get them out of the boot it was full of chewed apples and RAT carp but no rat
Lucky DH was working from home yesterday (or should have been ) :D

So we have taken the car apart to try and find it but no joy so hopefully it got out.As I left boot and all doors open after we pulled the car apart.
So I am now the proud owner of a rat trap which is set in the boot.

So I really cant bring myself to drive the car unless I know its gone and I cant bring myself to look in the boot

So think it will be a day of kondoing and cleaning for me today until I know it is not lurking in the car waiting to show its self while I am driving

Hope you all had a better day than I did ;)

Oh no Mav that's horrible, I was bad enough when we had its tiny relative in the house!!!
I've still got a boot full of stuff for cs as they were all closing when I got round to dropping it off yesterday so I might dive into the under stairs cupboard this morning and get the stuff for cs out and drop it all off today.
Hmmm I've got a pretty busy day today tho with picking up OH and then DGD1.
Right I'm going to get organised, get dinner in sc and get that cupboard kondoed

MMF007 - I confess to buying just one colourful hand towel as well. I had 2 for the small bathroom but all very bland in there then saw towel in exactly the right colours with zigzag stripes. It brings me joy every time I look at it. Also allowed! DH To buy a sieve yesterday - he does a lot of cooking and the new metal set which replaced our plastic ones which died were both too small.

Not much Kondoing as busy Rl week. Several birthday presents to go out at weekend. That will be it for birthday presents this year although some cards for December.

DH hospital appointment moved from today to Sunday at 8am!! 45 minutes drive from here so early start - looking on the bright side at least we should be able to park.

Shopping with mil today but have done ours for this week. Hopefully I can avoid spending other than picking up things for Christmas stockings - I am trying really hard to get all my Christmas shopping done in November.

DH did Kondo some shoes which are uncomfortable and I got rid of a few papers.

Thanks everyone on the Rat issue :(
The Guy who helps in the garden is due in soon so going to ask him to check the boot :rotfl:

The only positive is my car is so clean and sparkling I have never seen it so clean ever ;) and kondoed all the rubbish in there and had another fire :D Baked apples anyone ?:D

Just kondoed another brushed cotton duvet cover sheet and pillow cases as the fluff keeps coming off no matter how many times I wash it  Was an expensive one but think money or health and health wins everytime as I am waking up with a really tight chest and thinking its all the fibres I am breathing in so its gone and will give the bedroom a really good going over today all windows open so lets hope I can clear it of light green fluff

So I am on for a good joyful day today I HAVE decided postive thinking and all that ;)

    .
Nothing wrong with this from my understanding! If anything the old ones don't appear to give you much joy so could always replace if you want to keep quantities of stuff down. Although initially it's about getting rid of stuff my plan is to end up replacing items for fewer, better ones :)

Kondoing still going on. Managed to get about 90pct of Aunties clothing rehomed one way or another - small amount to go. I havn't really counted any of it as 'proper' kondoing as very little of it would stay with me. I've managed to kondo 2 years worth of payslips as we've got the P60's. I've also outed a bundle of old cheque stubs - first stub on the current book is last April! 2 Birthday cards written and ready to post, 2 cheques for subscriptions done and ready to go. Really pleased that by keeping a track of our insurances etc & using MSE I've managed to save enough to pay the deposit on our holiday to Antigua next year!! Result!! -only got to save for the balance now :) Its something to look forward to especially on the grey, rainy windy day here. (I have a little 'earworm' at the moment singing 'Wow I'm going to Antigua' (ladies of a certain age will remember the original song :) )
Have a good day all & Keeeep Kondoing x
