It's great isn't it?
I never was one for fashion so it didn't take long for me to do clothing category. However, I was a sucker for household gadgets and the latest whirligigs for my kitchen to make my life easier. All shoved in the back of cubhoards eventually and not having the room in my tiny kitchen I had stuff under beds. So no they haven't enhanced my life one bit. There's a juicer still there that was a fad or a while. Going to a new home soon.
I was a terror in a book shop as well. until I discovered kindle on my tablet. I have to watch myself on the A to Z site though. I could easily Download a book everyday even though most are free I don't want the clutter on there either.
I now prefer to be a doing stuff person not a buyer now.

*raises hand* I've been known to answer those questions from males with "where it lives" They tend to learn to put things away and not be children about it!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0

Well my boys can cook, clean, do laundry and iron. One can even use the sewing machine. I didn't want to inflict useless males onto the world
However sometimes lacking in tracking skills.
My kondoed house now helps with that”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

I think it was Roseanne (remember the American sitcom?) who said: "a uterus isn't a tracking device!"Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590

I love the Kondo method, but I've slipped behind. I got rid of so much after I moved and ended up throwing so much away. I plan to restart soon and continue, and I've already made a start by giving away my old trombone and books to a music group at the local uni, freecycling an old sewing machine and printer, and carting a ton of books to the local charity shop. Tonight I'll work on the clothes!0

Please excuse the sexist comment from my working life, but if a woman couldn't find something in an obvious place I would suggest that it was because of a sudden rush of testosterone, so not her fault.0

I started Kondoing earlier this year and was really successful with my clothes. I stopped for a while, but have restarted recently again. I'm not so good at decluttering in sections but I am good at questioning the joy in items and if there isn't any it goes to a new home / bin etc.
This morning I have sorted through my letters from when I was a teenager, and sorted the envelopes for shredding and the letters discarded to the RB. One very old tin is now for the tip and I am about to tackle all the birthday cards that I seemed to think it was a good idea to keep over the years.0 -

I think mine does, I'm not sure -but people sometimes use them for craft projects etc so it's worth donating them I think.
Yes, the 'female tracking' thing is universal and hence the t-shirt I saw somewhere recently that said "It's not lost till your Mum can't find it". :rotfl: What really used to annoy my mum was the question 'where have you put my ....' which implied it was her fault!
To those returning to MK, it really is a cumulative thing. The more you do, the easier it gets and I find myself opening a cupboard to retrieve something and suddenly thinking 'that can go!' and adding another item else to the chazza bag.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so disparaging. Your sons sound wonderful, you've done their future flat mates or partners a huge favour! I've met too many and dated too many who only learn after living alone for a while. It would certainly more than make up for any tracking issues
I'm seriously considering not living with a partner in the future, I'm getting too set in my quirky ways. Would feel bad for my flatmate but he's less tidy so I get away with it atm!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
I'm still here, kondoing when I can.
RL has kicked in with a vengeance, but I'm hanging in and hope to have a clear run after next week. Also, need to catch up with all your recent posts.
Keep at it, Konverts! Six weeks to a less cluttered C********! :xmassmile:xmastree::dance:Needs, NOT wants!
