Dry sunny day here today so I've Kondo'd the remains of the tomato and cucumber plants and cleaned out the greenhouse. Still lots to do but every little helps!
GQ - having a good chuckle at your interrogation scenario. I can pi cture the whole scene in my mind as something from NCIS. Would you mind if I show off the MK joy?
DH asked me to find his spare car key so he can leave it with car when serviced. It took me less than 60 seconds to locate it, snuggling in it's 'home', and I haven't had hold of it for at least 3 months.
Pre-MK it would have taken hours or even days, lots of swearing and tipping out of random pots, drawers, coat pockets etc!
May I also thank those folk that mentioned putting dvds and cds into wallets? I have mentioned to DH, the main purchaser of said items, who was not resistant. I have not pressed him to agree, just letting the thought percolate a while
If it works out I shall be able to liberate an unjoyful cd unit and regain control of a cupboard that is presently the dvd store!

That's great 007
little triumphs like that make your day don't they.
Read summat on tinternet that's says nature abhors a vacumn. Emptying our homes of stale energy zapping clutter attracts new life and opportunities. It might sound a bit woo woo but I'm beginning to believe it. I certainly feel a lot more optimistic nowadays.
I opened the door to the gas meter reader yesterday. I no longer feel embarrassed by the landslide of junk under the sink where the meter is or piles of dishes IN the sink for that matter.

jinny, it must be universal; Dad asks Mum where some common household item is to be found, which is in the same place for 40-odd years and she growls in exasperation that it's as if he doesn't live there, too.
Mind you, she has rung me up before to ask where something of hers, in her house, is to be found, and I moved out in the early eighties.Worryingly, I can sometimes tell her where it is at first or second attempt, too!:rotfl:

Really busy day planned so glad I'd got my list sorted yesterday, and if you love random this is the list for you. Some of it was found under the bath!! Yes I've got that desperate:rotfl:there's a little door in one end of the panel I've tucked a few cleaning products behind it in my time but other people have added things delving deep unearthed tiles that aren't even in our house. - spares obviously left just incase a neighbour cracked one or needed extra they've been waiting 32 years so I think they can be commended for their patience and released to the hardcore tip with mils concrete on the next tip run.

Good morning.
Choose wisely Think you may have to explain this one
20. Cuddly giraffe, but has no neck:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I always thought the distinguishing feature of a giraffe was its long neck. It seems that they have mutated, or perhaps more sinisterly been genetically modified by the toy industry to make them easier to produce by having as long a neck as a teddy bear. GD has two of this type and I am sure it confuses her. The one in question is a large one that was won at Blackpool by DD2.
BTW, GD has got a Sophie giraffe that she has had for 2 years. Ideal toy for a young baby, long legs and neck make it easy to hold and feet, ears and face are good for teething!0 -
My family now think I am crazy as I have been happily samosaing plastic bags and chucking lots of stuff out. When DH gets back from his holiday I am going to get him to look at the bits that I have put to one side for releasing. I also want to really get him to sort out the study that he uses for his college work.
Kondoed some blurry photos whilst looking for some baby pictures of my son who is going to be 18 tomorrow. I know I need to sort them all out and scanned.
Am taking some DVDs and books to CS on the way out to take father in law to visit mother in law in hospital.

So true!:D
It's so lovely knowing where anything in the house is at any moment, that is one of the side effects of KM'ing your home.:j0
