Coming out thinking 'I bl**dy hate this'Could have done it better myself :rotfl:With the garden shearsSo have booked a posh ' Director stylist' what ever that is in the big city and s*d the cost. I will cross my fingers and hope its ok.
Nothing on the cottage front. But have been out all day so we will see if they ring tommorow.
Fixed Dads boiler low pressure in about 30 secondsSo he now has heating again.

Pyrex were part of the hoard I kondoed last week ,from corner cupboards. 2 pie dishes, set of 3 frilly edged blue flowered bowls that sat inside on another. Plus 2 "steak plates" all Pyrex, she could have had them as I.m not as far from Liverpool.
Yesterday we went to Ik# a, and got wardrobes for dgs we put them up,apart from the doors which we did tonight when hubby got home,I will call tomorrow and help kondo outgrown and not used toys, then 1 wardrobe which we shelved will hold all toys like Lego that's been built! :T and needs to be saved from getting broken. With games stored at the top hopefully it will look tidier,as he's such a good boy and always tidies up but has lacked the storage so everything has a "home".
He even thanked me for buying the wardrobes! Little love :A
Jo4 glad to hear your results were good, sad to know your dog isn't well.

Took the books and an extra few bits to the CS today - only been sitting for 2 weeks. I came away with 2 cut glass bowls, one of which will have a permanent home once it's dry and the other I have a few ideas for. My decor has been described as thoughtful eclectic
I quite like that.

Haven't gotten rid of anything today, except posted two letters... My project room is driving me nuts at the moment, have bought paint and more kit to go with it so that I can finish off couple of projects over this winter - and I don't want to put them in a cupboard because they might end up staying in there instead!
Maybe a long weekend to get couple of projects done, wouldn't mind chucking out the old curtains and sheets I've used as cover sheets as they are now splattered with paint..but somehow now lacking the energy. (Spring and summer get my DIY-hormones crazy..)
*sigh* on that thought, time to say nite-nite so that I can get up early tomorrow and earn some money to OP my mortgage with...
ps. is it Pyrex season? I was looking at my bowls on Sunday thinking I should chuck the big oven one as I have not used it for ages...so after reading all of you getting rid of yours, it's on my "to go" list for next weekend..0 -
I did Kondo all my chipped and scratched pyrex but replaced a couple of bowls 'cos they're useful in my microwave & oven. DH & I drove from Portsmouth to Blyth, Northumberland and back in a day to pick up a motorbike! Good job it was just what he wanted lol.
Off to Kondo an old sheet into a Pirate shirt for him for HalloweenSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I remember my first organizing book from the 70s it was called
Superwoman by Shirley Conran. She was married to Terrance Conran who owned Habitat. Also mother of Jasper Conran the designer.
There was a follow up book called Down with Superwoman
Than was a bit more feminist.
Her motto in the book was
'Lifes too short to stuff a mushroom'
I used the tips in the book and to sort my paperwork out into folders
worked great for a while but soon decended into chaos when children
arrived.
Funny that, I've been blaming my kids for baby weight, clutter allsorts really for about 30 plus years!
edit ifind the clocks going back and forward play havoc with my energy too. We need the daylight saving time oop north though.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

I had my gift aid information through from the charity shop; they've made £200 in the last few months on my kondoed goods. I'm mostly full of joy but had a moment in which it crossed my mind to wonder how much that stuff must have cost new? Must be several times what it makes in donations, right?Debt at highest: £8k. Jinny, firstly thank you for the "3 things list" It feels so much more achievable than my usual, long, to do list. I have been using the idea since you posted last week and it is helping me a lot. I am sort of combining it with doing 30 mins chores and 10 minutes time out (reading along here, having a proper sit down cuppa etc) whoops 3 minutes over my "out" time, better crack on with the next 3 things, might include shower and hairwash as 1:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
