Hi all I'm still catching up with reading the thread and Kondoing as well. Jo4 I'm so glad your results were good but so sorry to read about your dog, I love mine with all my heart.
I have another full car load to go to the tip tomorrow, another full load for the cs on Monday and my daughter is taking 3 black bags of baking tins etc into her work on Tuesday to see if anything is any use (I used to make cakes for a living and she's a chef).
I'm sure my house is breathing a sigh of relief at all the stuff that is gone and going soon but one thing I have noticed with all this clearing out is damp, its been quietly growing mould on the walls in cupboards and behind pieces of furniture that I really never move so this has spurred me on to do more. I have 2 dehumidifiers that I run in the house most days but I think there's just been so much stuff that they couldn't do there jobs properly so the clearing and cleaning is going to continue until every cupboard has been emptied and kondoed and every piece of furniture has been moved and inspected.
My bedroom is finished, the kids rooms well they have been done to their standards and they are nearly adults so I'm not going to barge in and demolish the rooms unless asked, the bathroom is finished, the airing cupboard is done and the kitchen half done.
Huge post sorry but no one else really knows what I'm doing so I like to keep myself accountable with you allkonMarie and fabbing all the way

:j One freegler coming tomorrow aft, and another in the next few days after work. Got an outdoor place for pick-ups so I don't have to be here, which is great.
Only one of the three items listed this evening hasn't got a taker yet, but it's early days.
re lollyfin's observation about finding areas of mould, I wonder if very stuffed houses, as well as uPVC double-glazing ,aren't the perfect pairing for causing this problem?
Keep up the sterling work, lovely peeps.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I was chatting to some ladies who look after their church near me. I was telling them I used to be in the brownie troop there.
We got talking about charity shops and how expensive and fussy they are these day. I said I saw a coat priced at £25!
Fair enough it was a m and s one but really they got it for nowt. They have a manager and overheads to pay but I think that's a bit much
Anyhow I've suggested an old fashioned jumble sale like the church used to hold regular. They said it sounded good and will look into it..
I've turned my three clocks back now cos I know I will forget”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

It definitely helps to have better air circulation. Unfortunately removing clutter has revealed some areas of rising damp in my home, that I just didn't notice before. Still, better to know about them - I'll have to save up to get it treated.
Lollyfin, like you I haven't told anyone what I'm doing - although it's pretty obvious that I'm chucking out loads of stuff - and I find this thread so useful to share my experience of the KM 'journey'.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Thanks I completely forgot about the clocks!
I've just realised that my posts about mice and mould might have you all thinking What? So little bit of background, I live in a tiny village, only one way in kind of place, two minutes walk away on 3 sides is the sea and on the 4th fields. It's a lovely place but has its challenges...mice and damp being two of them haha and you are completely right Grey Queen double glazing and just pushing old stuff to the back of cupboards not a good idea.konMarie and fabbing all the way

Because I am so far away from shops I shop online and can never be bothered to send something back if it just isn't quite right. But today I took 3 pairs of trousers back to M%S but I had lost the receipt but got a credit note so that is my Christmas food all sorted with the refund. Before KM I would have just put them into the wardrobe and left them there. Wish I could Km this flu type feeling I have since I got my flu jab on Thursday. Remember to turn the clocks back and enjoy your extra hour.0

you are completely right Grey Queen double glazing and just pushing old stuff to the back of cupboards not a good idea.
Then start to empty it as we've bought it fully furnished with all linen, ornaments etc as owner gone in a home - 'why have one when you can have six' seems to have been the motto . Will look for random items to report on - already looking forward to Kondoing the six bottles of wine that have been left .A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I have curly hair, and dds have half African hair. They each use one hotel bottle of conditioner per wash, so this is a great idea; thanks!
Yes and your hair smells great too.
I remember my mother using a product called Vitapointe.
She used this the same way to slacken off her perms. It used to smell lovely on her hair. You can still get it in Boots.
So now when you and DDs get unwanted body lotion as gifts.
You can now accept with gratitude and think. 'Hair product'
Have a great Daylight saving day everyone.
An hour more to Kondo!”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Morning all.
I got up at my usual time as that's when I woke, spent a few seconds changing my watch, alarm clock etc to GMT and then up and at the day. I'm very tired as still shaking off the dregs of a cold (midnight tonight will be the start of Week 4 for this beggar) but am full of enthusiam.
Truth to be told, I was extremely disheartened by not being able to get back onto the freegle site on my pre-existing log-in then not getting my registration log-in email. I was in a temper, almost. Then I went onto my email yesterday and the registration email had rocked up about midday, from an afternoon registration the day before. In duplicate, lol. I guess it's like buses, you wait, and then they all come at once...........:rotfl:
Anyway, three things were listed and two requested within the hour, one pick-up for deffo this afternoon, one possible today, possibly later in the week. As an experienced freegler, I know you can be let down, so the job ain't done until they're picked up, but I'm happy thus far.
Got one more thing to list which requires a little work and possibly re-packing before it can be offered, which I will do today. And have seen some things on the Wants section of the site which Mum has in her loft and has indicated can go. Logistics, as ever, will be a problem, with the Stuff an hour a way and me with only the bus. I will think on that, maybe ask if I can borrow their car and bring a load of stuff up to the city to re-home it via freegle.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hi, just started Kondoing, I havent bought the book but have read most of this thread!
I have started with my clothes and took three bags to the charity container at the local supermarket yesterday.None of my clothes seem to properly fit so have got rid of lots.
Also tried to start tidying the office which my husband uses to study in. I dont know how he does study in there as it is so messy I wouldnt be able to concentrate. I have tidied up the stationery drawer and chucked a bagful of stuff in the bin. I have thought of taking everything out and showing him how good it looks but then where will I put it?Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000
